Second Grade Math with Confidence Bundle

Loving this curriculum! It’s so easy to follow, fun for the kid, and nice to look at. It repeats all concepts every lesson, helping them retain the information. If you like her other math facts books, it’s worth getting this curriculum. I wish she had 4th grade! Highly recommend!

I have zero complaints with this program . I moved my child from public school to this program mid year because of the lack of learning in person. We used the previous years as practice and additional help. The lessons are fun and the way it is outlined makes it easy to teach. My child loves the games and begs to do math each day. This program has given her a love of math and a strong foundation.

Update: We began this as remediation in October 2022 as my daughter was halfway through another second grade book and struggling. Well we completed it today! She went through the whole lesson book and workbook in 4 months! We loved it. Can’t wait for book 3 to come out. We played every game multiple times and will reinforce what she’s learned with the games while we wait. We also ordered multiplication facts that stick to start in the mean time. Can’t recommend it enough. And I agree I wish she had other subjects she taught as her approach is amazing! Thank you Kate!I homeschool my 8 yr old. We go at her pace and we got halfway through 2nd grade math in math mammoth. I have to say it’s effective and simple but my daughter had been dreading math daily. We’ve used Singapore math in kinder and used Rightstart in first grade, which also ended in tears. This hits the mark with fun hands on instruction and games for practice. Most days she still does not want to do math initially but when we get into it she changes during the lesson with this program and has FUN! By the end she is happy and wants to play the game 2,3,4 times some days. We have been covering 2 lessons per day and skipping the 5th enrichment to try to catch up to her level. The review has boosted her confidence and mine! Hopefully it continues to be enjoyable for us. We are in chapter 16 now in 8 weeks of doing this program. We use a charter homeschool where I am the teacher as the mom. I bought this on my own but now have been recommending our charter to order it for parents. I have a 4 yr old who I already purchased the kindergarten math with confidence for use next year when he starts school. Excited to use it with him from the start. My poor daughter has to be a grade level behind to use this but I noticed she is learning concepts also taught in 3rd grade in some other programs so I don’t feel so bad.

I was struggling to find a math curriculum that my daughter enjoyed but was also challenging enough yet fully explained things for me and left nothing out to the imagination. I needed something that spelled out how to teach it and this book set was so much and more!! My daughter now LOVES math as they have lots of fun games for learning. I love that we didn't need to buy a ton of things to go with it. It has many games that simply need to be printed out and using a deck of regular cards or counters. My only qualm is that Kate Snow doesn't offer every other subject too bc I love her approach to teaching!You wont be disappointed!

Math with confidence is my favorite math curriculum for my family! I have tried math u see and simply charlotte mason and for some those may be great but for us math with confidence is the best! I have used the kindergarten and first grade curriculums and now I’ll be using the second grade. The lessons last about 20- 30 minutes and the activities in the lesson switch often so you and your child won’t get bored. It’s a very adhd friendly curriculum. It’s also very affordable and if you have multiple children you can save the instruction manual for the next child and just purchase a new workbook to go along with it. A great curriculum for a great price. I highly recommend!

Last year was such a struggle to get through a math lesson, tears were had from mom and daughter! I did a lot of research in finding a math curriculum that was better suited for my daughter. She is an art girl and math was just so boring to her! That has changed since starting this curriculum! My daughter begs to do math now- she even asks to do a lesson and play the games on days when school isn’t scheduled! I am beyond thrilled! Will update again at the end of the book if anything changes. ;)

I am a former special education teacher and searched pretty exhaustively for the 'perfect' math curriculum to use in our homeschool. After trying out Kate Snow's Preschool Math book (loved it!) and the Addition Facts that Stick! books, I saw the opportunity to participate in Kate's pilot program for the full year curriculum she was writing. I jumped at it when my daughter was in Kindergarten and we've participated each year. After trying Singapore, RightStart, and Math U See, I found I really loved how open-and-go Math With Confidence is. The manipulatives are not overly fussy and not specialized to the curriculum; the skills they help teach transfer to real life. The highly-contrived manipulatives used in other curricula really created a barrier for my kids. I have 7 kids and 5 are school age. I need our materials to be pretty simple to use if instruction is going to happen regularly. I can teach MWC well with glancing over the lesson while she prepares her materials and maybe 10 minutes at the end of each week looking ahead to the next set of lessons. The student materials are clear and she knows exactly what to do, even when she wasn't yet reading in the lower grades. One of the best things about MWC is the fantastic community on FB. The families using the curriculum are a wealth of support and ideas, and Kate herself often chimes in to offer ideas when a kiddo is struggling. MWC is truly fantastic and sound instruction.**I was a pilot tester for this program and received a free copy of the materials to use in my own home with my own children.
