Great Knife - That Is A Fact
I have a LOT of Knives but I am not a Knife Snob. Every knife has its purpose(s) for me. I buy them for their individual functionality, type of metal, type of blade, shape of the blade, Price, etc. This Ganzo from what I can tell is a copy of the: Protech Lerch TR-5 which sells for right at $210. Lets get to it. Out of the box it comes with a cloth bag and the knife, of course. Mine was Not razor sharp. It did cut paper very well with some very minute tearing along the way. So I hit it with a diamond rod about 6 times each side, now its razor sharp. Here's the deal, I grew up country (still am to a degree) we raised our food and hunted it too for survival. There is a difference in cutting paper and cutting skin, meat, etc. This knife did not impress me in the cutting paper department but the way the tip accidentally cut my finger that impressed me for a fact. It was a small cut (about 1/8 of an inch long) but it was deep and no kidding it bleed for about 10 minutes before finally stopping after applying a Band-Aid using constant pressure. The blade style I am not used to, I found that out quick as well. Closing it using my leg the point got me in my right thigh through my blue jeans, holy crap batman! Like dang, the the tip of this knife is wicked pointy and sharp. The rest of the blade is nothing to sneeze at either. Back on the farm and processing wild game I can see this knife getting the job done with meat, vegetables and day to day chores without any problem. As for normal day to day usage like cutting boxes, string, etc, etc be Very Careful. This knife is very, very sharp. It maybe 440C or it may not, but the design and its sharpness is impressive. I thought this was going to be my EDC, but it is too sharp, too nice and too pointy to be a beater knife. This knife has good heft, the blade is centered when closed. The blade does not have any side to side wiggle. The blade is very sharp, the point is wicked pointy. It locks up tight and breaks down very well with a snap. This is my first G (axis) Lock so I am getting used to using and trusting it. But I am a definite Ganzo Fan as of now. I will be purchasing more of their inventory, because of the quality and lets not forget the price points. I would buy this knife again without a doubt. To be honest I thought Ganzo's knives were going to be junk. My regret is, I did not find this company and their blades sooner. I had the wrong preconceived conception about the company and their products because their knives were clones. In this instance this company has made clones a very worthy endeavor. I would and will absolutely Buy This Knife Again & Again.

Shocking quality at this price!! *updated review*
OK, so it's not a Benchmade and you can tell that after some careful examination. But right out of the box, if you're not looking close, you might think it is something that costs 5x what this knife costs. First, no wobble, I mean none. Easily opens, locks, releases, just like my previous Griptillian. The handle feels exactly like my old Spyderco. So it's a good mix of feel and quality. But it's a $20 knife that you won't feel bad about using or losing. Edge was sharp, easily shaved the hair off my arm. It claims to be 440 stainless, idk but it seems like good enough to me. Seriously, I will probably buy another one because I'm sure the price will go up once the word gets out. Now, the devil is in the details. Fit and finish of the handles, matching up to the frames is just barely off, noticeable if you look for it, but you won't FEEL it. The axis lock works perfectly but the button edges weren't buffed down to a really smooth finish. I have no idea as to durability at this stage but I will update as needed. It's a cheap Spyderco Benchmade cloning experiment that went surprisingly well. Honestly, I'm really impressed for 20 bucks. It's not small, maybe a little bigger than the Griptillian but it's now my edc work knife. Why risk damaging my high dollar toys? Best purchase surprise in a long time. Good job Ganzo! ***Update*** I ordered a second one and I wouldn't change my previous review. It's an unbelievable product for 20 bucks. Seriously. The second knife is as good as the first. Just amazed.... ***second update*** pretty sure it's not 440 stainless, the edge chips easily but sharpens nicely. I don't regret purchase at all. I keep two in my big truck and use as needed on everything from cutting metal seals to slicing tomatoes. Two - one in the cab and one in the tool box. If I treated my Benchmade like this she'd probably leave me😉

Good Quality for the price!
I like the way these knives come packaged. It is a well thought out design. The outer wrap box is a standard flap style box. inside one finds a sturdy cardboard inner tray that holds the knife. It is wrapped in a double layer of bubble wrap and is well protected. There is also a cloth pouch which can be used to store or carry the knife in. I unwrapped and inspected the knife and found the material, fit, and finish to be good. Better than what I had expected in fact and the knife looks like a quality knife. Upon opening the blade I was not as impressed. The first few times of opening and closing the blade were rough feeling. I suspect a bit of metal shavings were in or around the pivot point. I opened and closed it 10 or so times and it did improve but was not right. So I decided to do a quick clean-up that I do to all my carry knives periodically. It involves dish detergent, hot water, and various nylon and brass bristle brushes. After the cleaning the blade opened and closed much better. I lubricated the pivot point again and the knife was now opening and closing as I thought it should. The blade lock is similar to the brand name knife company who calls their version an "Arc-Lock". But it is not a copy of their design. The brand name one uses a square profile locking surface which engages a slot in the blade back. This is a round profile cross bolt or pin that locks the blade at the top of the blade spine. It would not be as strong as the name brand lock, but is likely very nearly as strong, and it engages in a very positive manner. This knife is not a flipper style knife that deploys with a lightening fast action. It is a standard thumb stud style of knife that is fast and positive but not the fastest. The blade material is reported to be 440C stainless steel. I think it likely is that steel or the Chinese market equivalent. The heat treating is pretty good from what I have experienced so far. It sharpens with the same ease as any other well made modern stainless steel knife. It comes with a serviceable edge, but not a truly sharp edge. Putting a truly sharp edge took about four or five minutes for me using a diamond stone for about 8 strokes followed by a ceramic stone for 10 strokes each side of the blade followed by 30X stropping strokes on a leather strop. At this point the knife will pop hairs at the touch and slice like a razor. The blade profile of the knife has become my personal favorite for all around usefulness and durability. For the price, $20USA, there really is nothing that could beat this value. I would love to see the knife made a bit lighter in weight by thinning the liners and the blade steel by about 25%. That would make this knife almost perfect in my opinion. I have carried the knife every day since purchase and find it to work well and be unobtrusive.

Get a Ganzo Already 😁
Okay guys here goes.... WE, Civivi, Ganzo, Eafengrow. All Chinese, all high quality and high value. Ganzo and Eafengrow specifically are putting out some stuff priced below $30 that rival American products selling for $100+ I've got everything, Benchmade, SpyderCo, CRKT, Ontatio, SOG, etc. I'm telling you, Ganzo & Eafengrow have largely closed the gap. Pros: - The "G Lock" is a piston-type lock that was directly "influenced" by Benchmade Axis. It works exactly the same, but the spring to close the blade is stronger & a bit harder push on the Ganzo. Very cool lock that allows for one-handed closing, lots of gravity opens and closes, and it's pretty sturdy. Better than liner lock. - Looks phenomenal. Great hardware and G10..it pops like something from Blade Show - At less than $30 this is as good as a Chinese model SpyderCo like Tenacious or Resilience which cost 2x as much. Other than that you've got G10, 440, a decent washer set-up, lanyard hole, sturdy clip, etc. This knife will serve you like an $80-$100 knife would. - This is NOT a gas station quality knife..... It's not a mall knife. Get one, all of us are telling you!! It's gonna surprise you. Cons: - No blade Jimping for Thumb, have to use opening stud to lock thumb/secure thumb while using (personal preference) - No bearings on this model but it's still great. Opens fine so far. - Belt clip pops away from pocket near end of clip causing occasional snags when standing up in certain lawn furniture - You're supporting China as well as pirated designs if that matters to you

Great knife at a affordable price
These knifes are a great high quality substitute for some of the more over priced brands on the markets. Carbon steel holds a nice edge for a long time making it should great choice for a budget tool. The grip handle has a nice anti slip grip and overall heavy duty but light weight.

Worth every penny and then some.Good knife great price.
Hey there.New to all these inexpensive knives.I had at one time a lrg collection of all the old guard brands, would laugh and turn up my nose on ANYTHING coming in under a hundred dollars..I had a break in and lost all but a small handful of my knives. As i looked down the list of all i had lost i kicked myself for not taking photos and saving receipts ( if you have home owners insurance they will need pics and receipts for the blades you want to insure your blades )..I had spent 20 plus years getting it all together and since then had to retire due to injuries had to retire, sooooo my income is a great deal less..SO i had a choice begin to replace the knives or just walk away from collecting..I walked away for awhile, few years when i was fishing with a cousin and he pulled out a VERY nice blade and i didnt reconize the brand BUT i worked the knife, cked it out and was impressed. He asked me what i thought he paid and i gave an honest estimate of about 100 to 125,he just laughed and told me 25 bucks which i just could not believe..SO NOW i have my interest peaked and i had to ck it out..What i found is the Chinese have really brought their product quality WAY up.I got on YOUTUBE and the net and read and read and read, and was just blown away..He had THIS knife here so i ordered the knife and couldn't wait for it to show up.When it did again i was impressed. So after me going through the blade there compromises in the knife..the steel..fit and finish ( now the fit and finish is good but spyderco's are a tad better )..now i have a new hobby.I am retired so i will be collecting China knives only and spending my time cking them out and buying the best of what i would have considered trash and never giving it a second look..10 years ago knives with this fit and finish.Function and appearance would have cost you 100 bucks and up..So now i gladly have begun replacing my collection ..thanks for your time.

Amazing for under $20!
I'm kind of a collector of functional knives. Not because I want a "collection" but because I've sought after the "perfect" edc knife for many years and not found it. I've had all brands and types from $15 to $150 and never been quite happy. This one is as close to perfect (for me) as it can get. Style\Shape... Very functional and good looking. Fit\finish... No flaws. Blade shape\metal\design... My favorite functional blade shape! I like 440c steel too. Handle... Very functional, great grip\texture. Reversable belt clip. Solid axis lock, each side of handle (left or right hand). Light weight, durable. And, if I drop it on concrete and break the tip as another reviewer did, I wont blame the knife! I'm gonna buy a couple more just in case Ganzo decides to discontinue this design!

Not impressed.
If you're into knives and you're on a budget or just tight with money, Ganzo seems like a dream come true. All the bells and whistles of the more expensive brands at about $20 a pop. Sounds great, right? I thought so too so I bought one. Let me start by saying, I knew it wasn't going to be perfect. I read other reviews and watched some YouTube videos, so I knew there were some tweaks that needed to be done to get the best experience. First off, the axis lock is super tight. It hurts to pull after a few times, so if you're a knife fidgeter, these aren't for you. This is where one of the tweaks come in. Removing the scales and squeezing the spring a little shorter is supposed to make the axis lock more fidget friendly. Herein lies my problem. The T6 screws holding on my scales are stripped. Boo. I can't make the adjustments if the scales won't come off. Maybe it's just the one I got. Who knows... On a positive note, the blade is dead centered when folded, razor sharp, and locks up tight with no blade play at all. I just wish it wasn't so hard to close with the stiff springs. It feels sturdy and looks great and all in all I guess it's worth $20. You get what you pay for.
