Purchased for my 15yr old grandson. He absolutely LOVED it!! He was genuinely surprised by it's quality too, bc he had only seen the wire ones that come in those survival kits. Needless to say, he was impressed off the bat! He went looking for a reason to use it.. which didn't take him long at Titis (me) house, haha. (he's a hard working, outdoorsman, survival, bushcraft kinda guy so he enjoys this stuff) He instantly went outback to find something to cut down.. & found some branches & trees (approx. 2-8in thick) and he had NO issue. He said that this was EXTREMELY sharp (especially considering price & product being basic.) So it definitely didn't need to be sharpened out of the box like some do... and even after cutting down a few 6-8in thick trees it was still going strong!! He went after the thick 1-3in stuff and still took it all out, no problem! And what little I know about this stuff... I was impressed at how fast he was able to cut stuff down with this! Now clearly it's no gas powered chainsaw, but this lil guy gets the job done AND it's MUCH MUCH safer!!! As a 30 year veteran Operating Room RN, I have seen some very awful, brutal chainsaw accidents in my days (even on professional loggers) so I have always been so terrified of my lil guy logging, because even seasoned veterans have major accidents, and it happens in a SPLIT millisecond!!! So as a grandmother, I was very happy to see this product existed! AND even happier that he loves it. So overall this lil pocket chainsaw is actually lightweight, & it really does fit in a pocket, haha. Overall a wonderful product, and is definitely worth every single penny! (Even though it didnt cost much at all.. so it's totally worth it!) [PS: he's been using it daily - and it's still going strong! He sharpens it & keeps it clean, so it'll last longer. Very durable lil thing.] (P.S.S) - As an elderly woman, I am truly recommending this product myself now to any & all of my fellow seasoned souls who can't really run a chainsaw, (or even the handheld ones), this bad boy came in VERY handy for me!! I had some tough, prickly brush that comes back every year on side of my house, and my neighbor (who is also a single, yet sprung, senior friend) & I take turns cutting it down each year.. well, this year I got a headstart on it with this handy lil thing. Now I've had a knee replacement & shoulder replacement, & my hip and back aren't what they used to be, so I have troubles sometimes with my yards upkeep occasionally, and this tool has made my day!!!! I was able to saw down the crappy, thick tree/brush all on my own. I have always been a very independent woman, and I enjoy when I'm still able to be.. even though getting older makes that harder, this handy dandy tool has made it to my list of MUST HAVES for yard work. And when my friend *saw* ;) me going to town on that crap, she was impressed!! So I am going to get her one for a gift now, and order myself my own so my grandson can take his back home with him. I'M TELLING YA EVERYONE - GREAT PRODUCT! It's a must have for anyone who has to do tough landscaping/yard work.. much easier and safer then the big noisy ones, too. Gotta get yourselves one.

Rope handle is sturdy. Chain links move smoothly and without issue. They seem pre-oiled. Exerted strength on the chain links, and they held. So at least, they don’t seem fragile. Cutting teeth are attached, as per description. Seems fine, but I did not actually tried cutting wood with it yet.

I think it was a hit! He's not had a chance to use it yet but I'm sure he will find a reason to get it outside.

Have used to cut a roughly 10" tree out of the trail and it cut through with ease. Haven't had to sharpen it yet but will see how that goes or if i can mount it somehow like on a bar.
