AFTER A WEEK OF USE ITS BROKE.

LOVE this stool. The color is true to picture. It was delivered quickly (4days). All parts seem very solid. I read reviews that the seat is slippery, but I don't find that to be so on my end. It rolls very smoothly on tile and with little effort on a low plush carpet. Boy, the seat does the 360 so smoothly. The seat is very comfortable (I sit on it no more than 30 minutes at a time a couple times throughout the day). I purchased this stool for the sole purpose of rolling in between student desks and it is PERFECT for the job. The leg span is wide enough for stability yet compact enough to slip right on around the desks with out getting caught up. The teacher next door feel in love with it too and already ordered one for herself!

Super sturdy, the plastic seat has threaded metal inserts to bolt it to the steel seat flange so no plastic threads. Very good construction. After reading the reviews before purchase I was a little skeptical but after assembly of the stool the negatives are simple misunderstanding. 1. One review someone broke the handle. Here is why this might happen. The center post (cylinder) is shipped fully compressed (stool full down position). If you assemble stool then sit on it and pull the lever nothing will happen, human nature pull handle harder. No!! You need to gently pull the lever up then remove your weight while holding lever up and the stool pops up like it should. The force to activate the lever is comfortably light. 2. One review talked about the stool coming apart if you lift it by the seat. Maybe, Maybe not. There are no fasteners needed to mate center pole to the seat flange, same goes with center pole to base. These are steel on steel tapered wedge fits. If they are clean (no oils, no dirt) they will hold very tight. Like the wedge under a door the harder you push them together the harder it becomes to remove them. Tap these parts together with a hammer and you will need a hammer to take this stool apart. 3. One review with a broken stool Leg. It is a welded steel design, defects do happen. Also I see the leg to base weld as the weakest point in the design. We’ve had 1 of these stools in the family for a couple years with a 200 pound lady wheeling around the kitchen, no problems. Just added 2 more to family, 3 weeks in and no problems. I am 225lb. guy. After assembly to set the wedge fits I raised them to full height then all my weight, pull level for free-fall to bottom bang. That didn’t break them and they will stay together for good.
