good quality
Very nice condition. They were not broken or damaged. They are so clean, well painted, and have a semi-rough texture to them, not smooth and glossy. I would definitely buy some from this company again.

Diameter of Plate is not "standard"
I have Standard Olympic 10 lb weight plates from three other companies CAP, Walmart Brand and Rogue and they are all the same over all diameter. These plates are cosmetically very nice however all of the four ten pound plates that I ordered are approximately .5 to .75 inches greater in diameter. Which makes for an odd look on your bar when combined with other 10 lb plates. What frustrates me is that I also ordered 4 five lb. plates from this company and they are exactly the correct diameter and weight. So if you can get it right for five pound plates why can't you get it right for 10 pound plates. The plates they sent are about 9.25 inches in diameter and the standard ones I have are about 8.75 inches in diameter

New and perfect!
Weights. I bought them and they were delivered. Now I lift with them in my home gym, by putting them on bars and a plate-loaded rack pulley system. Life is beautiful! :-)This unsponsored review was brought to you by --- Common Sense Human Reviews for the Things That Really Matter.

Most certainly does the job
I purchased the 2.5 and the 5 pound plates to add to my basement gym. When I put them on a scale they were all within a few ounces of each other.Guess what happened, when i put them on one of my bars. It got heavier.I have no problem with them, and will be buying a set of 10's soon.

Not really a bargain
I purchased two sets of 10-pound Fitvid cast iron plates (four plates per set) for use on my dumbbell handles, and to compare to genuine Barbell Standard The Original 10 lb plates. Each of the sets of Fitvid plates must have been manufactured by different subcontractors. One set had a shiny enamel black finish with chrome-silver lettering. The other set had a matte black finish that looked like it might be powder coated. It too had chrome-silver lettering. I have to say the matte black looked very professional. The shiny enamel plates looked cheap. Measuring on a scale, the shiny enamel set averaged 10.5 pounds each (5% over the stated value) and the matte black plates averaged 11 pounds each (a whopping 10% over the stated value). In terms of weight on the face of the plates, I paid $1.21 per pound.I also have a set of 10-pound plates that I purchased from the Barbell Standard company. They have a black powder coated finish and matte silver lettering (compared to the chrome silver of the Fitvids set). The Barbell Standard weights averaged slightly less than 10.1 pounds when weighed on a scale, less than 1% off the face value, and well within Barbell Standard’s guarantee. On sale, I purchased them for $1.28 per pound. As mentioned above, the shiny black plates from Fitvids looked like cheap knock-offs. The matte plates from Fitvids looked very much like the Barbell Standard plates, except for the chrome lettering. The Fitvids plates tended to be rougher to the touch at the letters and in the hole than the Barbell Standard plates. The finish of the casting of the Fitvids plates was overall rather rougher than Barbell Standard, but not problematically so.I gave the Fitvids plates only three stars because their actual weight deviates from the face value by a large amount. A 10% deviation is pretty darn big. And the price of the Fitvids is essentially the same as the price of the Barbell Standard plates, only marginally less expensive. So my conclusion is that the Fitvids plates are not really much of a bargain, and their weight is not particularly accurate, unlike the name-brand plates.
