Victorinox Scabbard, Double Pouch, Aluminum (Accepts Knives Up to 12" Blade)

Really I bought this because I saw a butcher using it and I wanted to look kewl during my pig roast. Then came the pig roast. This item was excellent. It keep my knives close and accessible. What really impressed me was he clean up. With little effort, both sleeves came out and the entire thing cleaned up good as new.

If you're working in a high-speed meat-processing facility and need quick, frequent access to your knives, this is the scabbard to have. I carry two 8-inch (blade) knives and one 6-inch (blade) knife in its two slots; I also carry my node (inspection) hook in one of these slots, rather than placing it in the external "ring" holder which you see on the outside of the scabbard, as doing so can easily result in your hook falling out. Unlike one-piece plastic scabbards, this scabbard can be easily disassembled for cleaning, preferably by hand (not dishwasher). This scabbard can accommodate a larger, heavier chain as a belt, you just have to apply some pressure to push it up underneath the clasp, and the chain should stay on fine (a chain is NOT included with this scabbard-- I purchase mine at a hardware store, having it cut to personal preference). My one complaint is that after several years of spraying the scabbard with high-pressure 180-degree Fahrenheit water to clean it, the joints on the scabbard can rust, causing the clasp to separate from the rest of the scabbard-- but if you are careful, and dry the scabbard frequently after such cleanings, this product should last for many years.

As an up and coming chef this us one of the most useful tools I have in my bag of tricks. It can hold a multitude of knives and doesn't damage your blades. When you first get it you might feel it's a little large. Trust me it's not. Just be sure to use a wide belt.

LOW quality, NOT a victorinox product. Sections do not fit together snugly

Not Victorinix brand, wont fit knives over 8 inches, all the edges are sharp. Dulls knives when inserted or removed. Total waste of money.
