Top notch but may not work for super sensitive skin types
This is a beautifully, simply packaged little set of premium skincare. I've seen this brand at Neiman Marcus before and always wanted to try it.The make-up remover and oil cleanser is lovely but you will likely want to wash with something additional after it if you don't like any buildup left behind. It definitely removes all traces of dirt and pollution from your skin. Oil cleansing is a secret I wish I'd known about much earlier in my life, it's far more gentle and good for your skin than products that completely strip your skin of moisture. The toner is lovely and feels refreshing on clean skin. I found that both serums are very good at what they do- the spot concentrate is effective at inflamed or acne-prone areas of your skin, and the hydrating serum left my skin soft the next morning after using overnight. It's a little heavy for day use. For me anyway.Ingredients are all top-shelf and very high quality. if you love plant-based herbal products these will be right up your alley. They are all very affordable and last a long time when stored properly.INGREDIENT LISTS:Clear Skin Advanced Spot Concentrate (7ml):Jojoba Seed Oil* [infused With Calendula Flowers*, Plantain Leaves*, Gotu Kola*, Comfrey Leaves*], Neem Seed Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Vitamin E, Turmeric Root Oil, Myrrh OilRejuvenating+ Hydrating Serum (7ml)Apricot Kernel Oil*, Camellia Seed Oil*, Pumpkin Seed Oil*, Avocado Oil*, Jojoba Seed Oil*, Calendula Flower Extract, Borage Oil*, Raspberry Seed Oil*, Rosehip Seed Oil*, Pomegranate Seed Oil*, Vitamin E, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Neroli Oil, German Chamomile Oil, Frankincense Oil*, Rose Otto Oil, Myrrh Oil, Patchouli oil*. *Certified OrganicInvigorating + Balancing Toner (30ml)Aqua, Rosa Damascena (Rose) flower water*, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) flower water*, Gluconolactone^ (and) Sodium Benzoate (and) Calcium Gluconate, Disodium Citrate†, Sorbitan Oleate Decylglucoside Crosspolymer‡, Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, and Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) extract, Pelargonium X asperum (Geranium) oil*, Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage) oil*, Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) oil*, Boswellia Serrata (Frankincense) oil*. *Certified OrganicMoisturizing Oil Cleanser + Makeup Remover (30ml):Sunflower Seed Oil*, Jojoba oil*, Avocado oil*, Evening Primrose oil*, Raspberry Seed oil*, GMO-free Vitamin E, Rosemary leaf extract, and therapeutic essential oils of Bergamot†, Lavender*, Frankincense* and Petitgrain *Certified organic ingredient

A Great Introductory Kit For Taking First Steps To Improving Your Skin.
Province Apothecary Daily Glow Essentials Discovery Kit is a great introductory kit for taking first steps to improving your skin. The 4 piece set includes a moisturizing oil cleanser, balancing toner, rejuvenating face serum, and clear skin spot treatment. I have combination skin and I have to say when initially washing my face with the oil cleanser it felt counterintuitive. There was a brief learning curve in order to feel comfortable washing my face with an oil cleanser and realizing it was ok and there were results I could actually see. The oil doesn't build up a lather or any real obvious marks to show it is at work. Once it was time to "rinse" - I used a warm towel to wipe the product from my face. Afterwards my face felt very clean and not the least bit oily. There was no residue or sticky feeling on my skin. When applying the toner, it was light and refreshing. The serum was also oil based and this item I have mixed feelings with. The serum went on easily but it was noticeable on my skin. My skin felt tacky/sticky for at least an hour. Once it finally absorbed, my skin felt moisturized and ok. Waiting for the absorption was the challenging part. The spot concentrate is the item that was the most impressive for me. I had a couple blackheads and after using the spot concentrate they were gone by morning. I don't know what is in this petite vial but it was magical. The four bottles of product take up barely any space on the bathroom counter and are just as easy to tuck into a make-up bag when traveling for a trip. The manufacturer noted that this set of products are Cruelty-Free, Certified Vegan, Ethically Sourced, Green Certified, and Plant Based. It is Made in Canada. The set is presented in a gift ready package to immediately give to loved ones. Once I overcame the brief learning curve of washing with oil, I saw results in real time and am really impressed with this set of products.

Great quality ingredients
I am pretty fanatical about what I put on and in my body. I avoid thing with chemicals, and even some natural ingredients. Lately it seems everything has either aloe vera or coconut oil. Aloe is used to treat mild burns. It also tightens your skin, so what it is doing in moisturizers, or hair products...? I do njot see the ratiolae, except as a cheapp bulk filler which can be labeled natural. Sunflower oil has been used for a long time in inexpensive products, but is croppping up more and movinng higher on the ingredient list. It is not bad for you, but not especiallly good for your skin, like other oils (olive, almond, apricot). Like coconut oil it's chief virtue is that it is cheap. All that said I have been on a quest for product which do not use these ingredients, or not much anyway. I have tried quite a few new peoducts this year, and this set is the first which passes my test. They use really good ingredients, and many are organic. They also use some very expensive ingredients, like rose otto, which are seldom found in skin care products, other than very high end products. They also use them well, in ways which are establioshed/ tested, and known to be beneficial. The cleanser is oil based which is used in many make up removers. I won't be using it much since I don't wear make up, but for those who do, oil based products are the easiest removers and the best for your skin.I like the toner a lot. It is not what I would normally think of as a toner. It is primarily rose weater which has been used for a long long time for sensitive skin and as an anti-inflammatory. Theirs is very nice quality and bnecause of the addition of rose otto, really smells like roses. The serum uses a lot of good skin oils, avocado and jojoba, evening primrose and rosehip oils (which are both high in vbitamin e). Everything in it is good for your skin. It is fairly heavy, so I would only use it at night (myself) but thhen, that is how I would normally use a serum. The spot treatment is pretty unusual in that it is oil based. Because of that I don't know how well it would work for acne, but it has a number of ingredients with known antibiotic properties (calendula, comfrey, neem) and the rest are mild anti-inflammatories. It is similar in some ways to Kiehl's rescue cream and should work well as a prevenmtative or to treat mild flare up. (They call it a calming oil, which is a pretty good description.)I am overall pretty impressed with what I am seeing from this brand, and really like that they are not making any outrageous claims. They use golod quality natural ingredients, many organic, ethically sourced.... much like the 2 or 3 companies I get most everything from (all in Europe). Province is in Canada, and in my experience the quality of the products from Canada are better than in the US because their screening is better. This company goes one better and uses organic ingredients, vegan, ethicvaly sourced. It all sounds good, and the products I tried are very good. The set comes with a 20% off coupon, and I liked their products well enough that I am going to have a look at what else they have to offer.

Some of this is AMAZING - don't like the cleanser/toner, but still worth 4 stars!
The two best products are the two tiny vials! The two large bottles are oil cleanser and a spray toner and the two small vials are a spot (acne) corrector and moisturizer/serumI did not care for the oil cleanser. It was so weird washing my face with an oil and I just couldn't get it to work for me. My face was left with a layer of grease - I don't get it. Abandoned. The spray toner is a nice refreshing product but any dermatologist will tell you toners are a totally unnecessary product. Maybe this one adds a little hydration more than typical toners? Feel free to use it if you like the way it smells, but I found it to be an unnecessary step. The spot corrector I thought was going to be ridiculous, but I actually broke out right after I received this set and thought, "What the heck, I'll try it". What would've usually have taken days for my skin days to recover took ONE NIGHT. It was like a miracle. I couldn't believe it. This tiny little vial has earned a permanent spot on my vanity! The serum/hydration is the best serum I have ever tried... hands down - and I've tried A LOT. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity as a Vine member (and former Clinique and Aveda employee) to try lots of really good skin care products, and this serum has blown me away. I put this serum on only at night because it is oily, has a lot of slip to it, but it also soaks in and makes my skin feels softer/more moisturized than any product I've ever used (my second favorite moisturizer would be the Cult 51 night cream). I just wish I had a bigger supply of it!Fragrance: This set is very "earthy" and reminds me of my time at Aveda. There is definitely sandalwood, lavender, maybe some patchouli in these products. It doesn't smell so much "perfumed" as it does infused with essential oils. So, while not a fan of the cleanser and I'm ambiguous about the toner, the spot corrector and serum are SO GOOD, I have to give this set four stars. If I'm rating the spot corrector and serum on their, own, it'd be 100/100 stars!!!!!! So - if you like oil cleansers, you might think this set is a 5/5 stars. Their cleanser, just wasn't for me. ~Amy

Skin is soft and youthful
Province Apothecary Daily Glow Essentials Discovery Kit is a really easy daily skin care regime that has helped the look and feel of my skin. The kit comes withMoisturizing Oil Cleanser + Makeup RemoverInvigorating + Balancing TonerRejuvenating+ Hydrating SerumClear Skin Advanced Spot ConcentrateThe moisturizing oil cleanser is a little different to use and takes a bit to get used to but you simply wet your skin massage the oil in and remove the cleanser with a damp face cloth. I like to use a microfiber cloth so that is soft on my skin and it's reusable. I was nervous that it was an oil base but allowing time for it to soak into your skin it does not feel tacky or oily. The balancing toner was really refreshing a few spritz will cover your entire face. After the toner I use the hydrating serum which again when given time to absorb leaves my skin feeling ultra smooth and not sticky. I don't have to use the spot treatment often but when I do I apply one drop and it clears up any trouble spots. With really sensitive skin I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have any breakouts and has left my skin looking youthful and refreshed. Highly recommend
