Finally found a transfer paper for wood!
So glad I found this! It worked great!! I used my iron first to test it out and it did a great job adhering to the wood! Next I’ll try my heat press! I’ll add photos once I’m done! I had purchased a sublimation spray thinking I would I need it, but the paper worked great without it.

Wish I could help people who have had trouble with these.
I've used these for a while. Started selling my artwork and building a market booth last year. Wanted to make my own signs and transfer some of my images on wood panels (8" x 10") to experiment with for drawing and painting into. You definitely have to watch the heat. There's no magic formula or solution to get it right. The transfer can bubble and crack if you hold your heat source in one place for too long. This is evident in my experimentation. I do have a tiny craft iron that I will use next time to spot touch up places that haven't adhered completely. Putting the iron in a spot already well adhered is a big problem for me. I bought an normal non-steam iron (couldn't afford a heat press!) that has no holes in the bottom to give a more even heat distribution. I made a large sign using 4-5 pieces to make an 18" round sign. This was tricky because I can line them up perfectly, but there is shrinkage! The lined up edges pull apart. Had to adjust for that and the join was pretty obvious to me. I drew into the image and was able to disguise some of it. If I was doing smaller images, I think it would be much easier. Overall, it's an amazing way to transfer images onto wood. Keep in mind, they're not meant to be like they are printed on paper. It's certainly different than my prints and postcards, but that's kind of the point. I put a pastel ground over the top of the image and draw with pen and ink, pastel, chalk and oil pencils. The surface is a bit slick otherwise. I wish I could see what people are doing who aren't getting good results. The panels were done recently and the sign was the first thing I did last summer. Oh and don't forget to remove the backing or put the parchment over top. Oops. I've done both of those things. Yikes.

Love it!
Easy to use and print. Could be better with staying put for bit overlapping pics but it doesn’t matter much for what I’m doing.Read the instructions. Use the microfiber cloth in areas that you don’t want wood to come through. Use the parchment paper in areas that you want clear. I went back and forth between the two.I sealed it with chalk paint sealer and then waxed it. It’s good and strong. If u have edges that start pealing lightly sand out toward the edge before sealing.I wish I had taken before pics because my first try was too perfect and I wanted it distressed so I’m adding what I did in response to the comments. My advice for people that say it isn’t perfect! Cut with a wall paper cutter around the design. Do not do a white design because white will end up clear. USA a little spray adheasive to put it exactly where you want. Put a microfiber cloth over the entire thing. Press the iron in one place holding it steady for 3-4min then move to the next area slightly overlapping and repeat. I bought a pack of microfiber towels at the dollar store. They kinda fuse on the iron side and you can see what areas got decent pressure. Go over any areas that did not again.Take off the microfiber when cool and then use the parchment paper on any areas that you be at clear and too see the wood grain come through. Completely conver your design with parchment. Do the heat evenly for 20-30 sec depending on how much wood grain you want through it. When it’s cool, remove parchment gently peel up the paper from the design. If it doesn’t come up easily then put it back down, line it up, cover with parchment, and apple heat in 30 sec intravals until it is exactly how you want it.
