Amazing Sound Quality
The box is not well marked but this is a 2 sided dvd. The pcm non Dolby etc side sounds amazing. The separation and soundstage in stereo on headphones and speakers is awesome 👌

Great Music/Great Performance but Poor Video Editing
First let me say that I loved FM's performance.Unfortunately the pictorial record of the fabulous show is marred by Bruce Gowers' video editing. It's obvious that a fortune was invested to provide dozens of camera angles. Unfortunately Gowers decided that the view needed to shift with every downbeat and at the first word of each verse. As a result, continuity is lost. We watch, for instance, Christine sing two words then the camera suddenly shifts to Mick. Just as suddenly it shifts back to Christine at the first word of the next lyric line.Obviously, every member of the band deserves to be featured, but each song also deserves to be anchored to a performer then illustrated with wides, close-ups, two-shots, and group shots.Landslide is performed beatifully, and we catch glimpses of the potentially electrifying interaction between Lindsay and Stevie. But Gowers ruins the moment with discontinuous shots from floating cameras and close-ups of instruments. Suddenly we notice tears in Lindsay's and Stevie's eyes at the end of the song. It would have been much betterto amplify the emotion-packed song with soft camera work and discrete editing. To better understand my point, compare John McColgans simple video of "Riverdance" to David Mallet's over-produced jumpy edit of "Lord of the Dance." One is elegant and a joy to watch. The other is disturbing and hard to enjoy.Nevertheless, "The Dance" concert is magical, and despite the flaws of this video production I recommend its purchase.

A Blast from the Not-So-Distant Past!
I have been a fan of Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks for a very, very long time. This filmed concert, which kicked off The Dance Tour (1997/1998), was my first time seeing the band live in any real capacity. I remember my Dad took me to a show on the Shake the Cage (Tango In the Night) Tour (sometime in 1987/1988) but I was too young to have any real memory of it. I remember a couple songs and lots of screaming fans but beyond that ... this is why you don't take ten-year-old kids to rock concerts lol.Anyway ... I saw The Dance on TV. I purchased the CD, the VHS (yes, the VHS) and later the DVD ... I began investing in Fleetwood Mac's back catalog (I already had everything Stevie had released to that point), and as soon as tickets went on sale I purchased a ticket. I'm glad I did that since Christine McVie did not participate in the 2003/2004 tour, the 2009 tour, or the current tour. Crossing my fingers that recent rumours are true that she wants to come back.Aside from The Dance Tour, I've seen Fleetwood Mac live on the Say You Will Tour ('03/'04), the Unleashed Tour ('09) and their most recent World Tour ('13). This DVD performance still holds up to how excellent the band is performing these days.As a live recording The Dance is amazing; the audio CD is nice but the DVD is what you want. I remember walking through shopping malls in 1997 and all the audio stores were blasting this concert on their televisions to advertise their sound systems. The picture quality is still amazing - my PS3 does an excellent job up-scaling the quality a bit - and the audio is just as awesome as it was back then. I recently had to repurchase this because my old copy was damaged. The only real difference was packaging ... my original DVD had a thick paper/cardboard (?) casing, but I'm sure that only held true for the first few pressings. This copy came in the standard DVD jewel case.

Perfection.
I wish it was in HD, and I would have loved it if there had been some behind the scenes footage or interviews with the group. But from a purely musical standpoint, this is one of (if not THE) best recordings of a live concert, ever. Silver Springs, Gold Dust Woman, Landslide, I’m So Afraid, and Big Love are absolutely amazing - maybe my favorite versions of those songs. The entire concert is perfect. You can FEEL the energy and the chemistry. Regardless of any personal problems they’ve had with each other over the years, this band makes beautiful music together and they make each other better when they perform together. They give 110%, every single song. The put everything out there, and it's pure magic. And the fact that so many years had passed gave the songs - Silver Springs and Landslide in particular - even more meaning and depth. Landslide made me cry, and Tusk and Don’t Stop had me smiling with joy. I wish it was two hours longer.

There's nothing whatsoever to dislike about Fleetwood Mac whether in their original format or later. Highly recommended DVD.
