I thought it would be hilarious, or at least someone somewhere would think is hilarious that I bought two of these bags in February 2019 and today on June 19, 2025 I finally finished all the baking soda. Arm & Hammer baking soda has been reliable baking soda for as long as I’ve known. I only use baking soda sporadically but I thought it was funny that two of these bags lasted for six years hopefully that’s helpful! Have a great weekend! ☺️

I was quite happy to receive this product in bulk size for a very good price. I use this as a staple for the kitchen, general cleaning, and laundry use. Baking soda (aka bicarbonate of soda) is an oldie but a goodie in this regard. For example in the event that food has stuck onto a cooking utensil, add baking soda with hot water and set aside for about 15 minutes. The "stuck on" food is easily removed and the item (roasting pan, etc) is very easy to clean after that. This may not be a "big whoop" for non stick fans, but I do have the older pyrex bakeware, roasting pans, etc. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda does a great job getting them clean and sparkling even before they are placed in the dishwasher. Additionally, I have Calphalon all stainless steel cookware that has had stuck on food. Although baking soda is not recommended for use in this particular brand of stainless steel cookware a long time ago I took a chance and used baking soda anyway. The results were great! Since then the pots and pans continue to look like new and function beautifully also! The list of uses for (Arm and Hammer) baking soda goes on and on. Plus, there are no unsafe ingredients in it. I highly recommend this product.

Old faithful for absorbing fridge odors. Belongs in EVERY kitchen! Did I emphasize that enough?

Works, inexpensive, many uses, could be easier to keep sealed, nice soda.

Be aware these are tiny boxes. The size is listed but I expected the box to be much larger. The actual product is fine.

I love Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in the giant 13.5 lb. bag. I first purchased it at a major retailer and have no idea what I paid for it. When I saw that I could conveniently order it through Amazon Prime and have it delivered free to my door, I sprung on the deal...but then realized I should always read the reviews first. I saw many comments stating they could have purchased the baking soda in this size for about $6 at other box stores. ****Ugh, I just researched it. Same 192 oz for only $7.57 at a major retailer; yet here on Amazon, I've paid $18! I'll consider this a valuable lesson learned. Always read the reviews FIRST. Anyway, pricing faux pas aside, let me share with you why I really, really love this product. I enjoy using the new Tide Pods but noticed they occasionally leave a somewhat 'invisible-but-oily' residue on the water's surface...upon the washing machine water levels and I've noticed that the residual residue invariably ends up on my clothes. It really drives home the fact, for me, that my clothing while being clean is also still bearing remnants of chemical residue. This is where the importance of baking soda comes in. I've noticed that by adding a cup of Arm & Hammer into every load, that ALL MY CLOTHES not only come out wonderfully clean, but they are free of residue, so much in fact, that the clothing seems startling clean, and the fabric has a nubiness that feels truly clean and chemical free. It's like the fibers of the clothing have been restored and they are raised, perky and resplendently fresh; it's visibly noticeable and tangibly tactile. You can SEE and FEEL the difference.

Love this baking soda! Pros: - Great value! I was unable to even find a bag this size anywhere else, but the price per pound is excellent. - Works as expected. I used this baking soda to make bath bombs and it worked just the way it was supposed to. - Wonderful resealable bag! This bag is a lifesaver! I am not sure what I would have done without it! It works great to keep moisture out of that bag which is very important for bath bomb makers here in FL where there is very high humidity. Cons: - Not always available. I noticed that this product is not always available on Amazon. This is inconvenient, as you can not rely on Amazon to have this product when you need it if you make bath bombs for a living.

Das Baking Soda von Arm und Hammer ist ja ein ganz altes, bewährtes Mittel. Es ist übrigens nicht nur zum Reinigen geeignet, sondern auch quasi als Hausmittel gegen Sodbrennen. Es enthält die gleichen Wirkstoffe wie das deutsche Bullrichsalz oder Kaiser Natron. Wahrscheinlich darf der Hinweis wegen deutscher Lebensmittelgesetze nicht erwähnt werden, aber auf der amerikanischen Verpackung ist er nach wie vor zu lesen. Da es etwas preiswerter als die deutschen Mittel ist, ist es eine interessante Alternative.
