I don't know what to say other than they work perfectly. They clip on really sturdy and the voice quality is great (or so my friends say). As for sound, they are as good as the source, which for gaming controllers is fine. The volume adjust and mic select work great and are convenient and quick when gaming.FYI - if you weren't aware, these will still work and provide audio and voice when the headphones are off, just without noise cancellation (as would any headphone cord).If you already have the Sony headset and need a headset for gaming, this is going to serve you much better than a cheap gaming headset that costs 3 times more. Plus you get the convenience of an integrated mic and not having to deal with Bluetooth connections to TV and lag. Great purchase and wish I'd known about this option sooner!

I liked how easy this was to I stall on my Sony - WH-1000XM4. I started working from home and my headphone mic seemed to pick up too much noise without this type of mic. I like that it has a mute switch on the cord so you don't have to always use the computer app to mute yourself. It has a little tab that fits between the cushion of your headphones and holds the mic securely. I haven't found an issue yet with this mic,excepet for the filter that covers the mic fits loosley so you have to always make sure it isn't about to fall off with any light brushing against it.

I purchased this in January 2023. It developed sound quality issues towards the end of October 2023. Even with the volume setting all the way high, it is like 10% of the sound without the microphone attached. Furthermore, the sound now has some weird static, when the microphone is attached. I can barely hear people on my calls. It was attached to my headset all the time from day 1. So, removing / attaching constantly is not a problem.My Sony WH-1000XM3 has almost dolby-atmos like quality. Bass, treble, mid are superior right out of the box.I was looking for a well made microphone for my Sony headset, to use with xbox, playstation and for my conference calls. It sucks that it failed in less than 9 months with minor use.DO NOT BUY! especially at this price range.

This boom microphone is a wonderful addition to the Sony headphones which as we know are lacking in Mic capabilities. The voice is very clear and is a must have for meetings, especially if you have a noisy background.The Mic can also be made to fit the WH-1000XM2 headphones with some additional insertion effort. The plastic doesn't line up properly but they do in fact work just fine once plugged in. On the WH-1000XM3/4 they fit perfectly and with ease.The construction itself feels high quality, comes with a handy carrying case. The boom can be manipulated to any position and is nice and sturdy.Overall I highly recommend!

I bought this end of May, so for 3 months it worked perfect, but the cable on the side that you plug into your controller, is weak. Because of it bending from when I’m holding my controller and playing it, no one can hear me talk anymore. I tried to find a way to contact the seller to see if it can be repaired but website says it’s inactive.

Pros:- Great sound- Good ambient noise filtering- Amazing microphone position adjustment- Inline volume controlCons:- You lose wireless capability of XM4 while using- Plug not compatible with all devicesI bought a pair of WH-1000XM4 to use for zoom calls and unfortunately the microphone on them is HORRIBLE for zoom. Literally unusable. This microphone solved that issue for me. It is a quality mic with nice audio and the positional adjustment is very nice.But unfortunately it is a wired microphone so you lose the wireless capability of the headphones. Also, theplug is not compatible with all computers. My Macbook pro does not have a microphone jack or combined headphone / microphone jack so I had to buy a separate USB adapter to use this mic. It would be nice if this mic was USB since that is more universal.Overall, if you have these Sony headphones and want to use them for zoom then I would highly recommend this mic. But make sure your device has the correct port for it.

I have had these since January 2024. They were great and made the life of my Sonys last so much longer since I always had it on off more and it acted like your typical plug in headset instead. However, just last week, I noticed that If I am listening to music, it works fantastic! But the minute I get into a call via Zoom, Teams, or Discord, I can barely hear the receiving end. It's almost like the person is whispering into my ear. If I happen to move around and the cable/wire scrunches up just right, the caller's voice would blast into my ears like mad.It seems I would have to give up using these for phone calls. I don't want to end up with a panic attack during a call.

I have used this product for a few months with no issues. (they should last longer than 3 months. I had it connected to my Sony Wireless 1000xm4. Now, only the left headphone is working and it's seems to be an issue with the Boom mic cable because I have plugged it multiple devices and doesn't work on anything.Update: After reviewing the product customer service contacted me and solved my issues and sent me a new one at no cost to me.
