Bought for a christening gift. Well received. Switch is on the base to turn on the lights. Nothing in the box to highlight this had to find this out for myself, however, great gift.

The recipient age 5eill be delighted with this globe. It is small and pretty. The only slight pesk is the switch for the light's it is tricky to access.
