Off the wall use for this is as a sump pump for when water piles up in driveway. I dug hole, inserted a tub and put this pump at the bottom. It pumps the excess water through a hose to the backyard. It keeps our driveway clear of standing water.

Great lifting capability. I am using this for a safety drain system outside my lower level door where the drain can sometimes clog and cause my basement to flood. I have positioned a 12VDC car battery with the unit. The pump has to pump up a full flight of steps and does this quite effectively even with big inrushes of water. No more worry's of flodding. This will also be the replacement pump for all three of the pumps on my 30 ft cruiser during layup this winter. The auto float comes on sooner than you would think and pumps to very low level. The pump is quiet and 1100 gph is a lot of water..

Reliable. Almost too quiet. Float switch works well, even after a year in the rain. Removable mount. I’m impressed.

This pump looks good and pumps a lot of water, be sure to read Directions good, it wires to ways, I made the mistake of wire it wrong.Make sure the brown and white stripe wire is on + and black on - that makes it auto, and the other wire goes to a + switch so you can make it manual , or just leave it off, hope this helps

These things are super lightweight and were not capable of pumping the volume of water out of my boat that they were described to be capable of handling. Damn near sunk my boat during a heavy rain squall because of them. Don't go cheap on serious bilge pumps if you take your boat offshore. Lesson learned.

The automatic switch never worked but I didn’t really need it for my use.It pumps really fast and nice and quiet.I have it set up in a bucket under a sink for a basement and I wired to a switch so I don’t have to worry about the automatic floatswitch that never worked. If it’s pumping about 7 feet vertically and pumps faster than the sink and drain which is great! These palms are submergible, but if you leave them underwater for too long eventually the motor will get wet and corrode. This is the second one Ive had in the first one lasted me a few years, and the only reason it died was cause I left it submerged in water for a couple weeks. I learned that the water will eventually leak through where the power cord goes in so as long as I keep it running while using my sink so that part never gets submerged this one should last many years.
