Perfect fit for BMW x1
I had codes on my car and went easy way and ordered gas tank cap and code no longer showed. Great product.

So far so good
The last time I had my emissions checked the Tech had to try a few times and monkey with my BMW cap to get it to pass. He was nice to make such and effort and not just fail me and tell me to come back with a new cap. Fast forward 12 months an I knew I may not get so lucky this time, so I wanted to purchase a new cap. I usually try to find out who the suppliers are for BMW and buy one of their direct parts and save about 50% if not more. It was not so clear who the actual supplier for this is, but being an Austrian company, figured Rein was a decent bet. First and for most this cap is WAAAAAY lighter than my 2 decade old original. That's not always a bad thing (e.g. Cell phone, Computer, Girlfriend ;-), but did concern me. It also doesn't give the hearty click my old one does. The good news. It past emissions, which means it is doing its job sealing up my fuel system. I'm happy to have spent half as much as the BMW replacement. With 93 creeping up on $4, gonna need it every penny.

Works for Mini R56
It’s my second cap. The first one lasted just over 5 years. No complaints. Great product.

Fixed P0440 Code
The original gasket became brittle and seemed like it wasn't holding a seal on the gas tank so I thought to replace this first since it was cheap. I didn't reset the check engine light but it eventually went away after driving about half a tank worth of gas.I replaced the fuel tank vent valve shortly after replacing the gas cap, so that may have also contributed to fixing the issue. If you're throwing the p0440 code, it may be a good idea to replace this valve too.

Did NOT fit my 1999 E46
Might fit others, but wasn’t even close.

I was dealing with a P0171 and P0174 code
I was dealing with a P0171 and P0174 code combination on a 2001 BMW 330CI - these are vacuum leak codes. It was intermittent, and it was generally after filling up at the gas station. After looking more closely, the original gas cap had a hairline crack in it. This replacement gas cap seems to be doing the trick so far (after a week of using it, no more codes). It is not exactly like the original cap, but it does fit. I will edit this review if I have any issues going forward. Hopefully this will help someone else with this issue.

Great fit
I got this for my BMW 325 XI and it fit perfectly and it won’t fall off because Of the nice side rubber piece that is attached to the cap.

The construction was great and of high quality
The retaining cable is shorter that the original and made it difficult to rest the cap in the perch while filling up. The construction was great and of high quality. I feel like this is a better design over the original mini cooper gas cap which tended to fail over time with higher frequency. My check engine light went out shortly after installing this new cap. Over all a good solid replacement that I would recommend.
