Sears Roebuck & Co. Consumer's Guide for 1894

It is ok but 80 pages of pocket watches and 2 pages of clothing. They describe the clothing I was hoping for pictures. I am disappointed

I thought, from reading the reviews, that this book would offer a far more comprehensive selection of early Sears Roebuck products. After the first several dozen watches, I was pretty much done. I wanted household merchandise, women's clothing, hats, furnishings, etc. I got a LOAD of watches and guns, mostly.

I purchased this item for some research into hardware items available to the settlers of the frontier West. It was a very entertaining catalogue in that it shows clothing styles and accessories as well. I was amazed at the number of pages that were dedicated to jewelry, watches, buttons and "notions" as they were called. The prices of items were also a fun realization. Good source book and a very entertaining read.

An excellent source of years gone by

The book is exactly what it says it is, however it is much shorter than both previous and subsequent editions. It's a measly 300 pages compared to the over 1000 pages that you usually see, even in earlier editions.

Great products of olden days. Some nice memories inside with pictures of items.The books type was TOO small to be enjoyed.Too bad.

There could be more fashions for women and pictures

Missing lots of products.
