I wouldn't suggest it unless the grout is even with the tile. It would sink down in the grout lines. And really needs to be installed over a shiny or slick surface to adhere properly.

Q: Is this heat resistant?

The black granite contact paper is heat resistant. It can resist normal kitchen temperature, could be used for kitchen cooktop, countertop, kitchen cabinet, shelves, bearable temperature within 150°F. Yet better put a pad on this contact paper before putting something very hot.
