200mm Silverline Drilling SDS Adaptor

Solid adapter that I could only find for using SDS Plus bits with a regular hammer drill. However, as other viewers said, the hex end would not fit onto a 1/2" chuck drill. The package said it is a 9/16" hex. No, it is a 13mm hex end. I had to "carefully" file the hex end(corners) down to 1/8" in width on each hex side to be able to fit on a 1/2" drill. The material of the hex end was pretty easy to file down though.

Measured across the flats and this bit measures from .499" to .510". The packaging does claim that it is 9/16" but the measurements indicate it is a 1/2" that is out of spec perhaps due to the galvanisation. It gets stuck in my Skil 731 but can be removed with some persuasion. I suspect I will keep it since there doesn't seem to be any alternative. It will hold an SDS bit. Disappointed. If I had known I would have bought the 1/2" hex adapter from the start and driven some sort of thin metal tube over the hex to shim it to 9/16".

The adapter does not _quite_ fit a Skil RotoHammer 732. The hex portion of the shank istoo short, by over 10 mm. Grinding the round portion to match the hexwon't be difficult for anybody who's apt to be using a tool like this, so it's not a fatal flaw,but it was slightly disappointing. SDS+ bit retention seems acceptable.It gets four stars solely because there is no obvious alternative that I could find.

Adapter does not fit skil 732. The hex is to small and short by 3/8” and is not 9/16”. Round portion too small too. Unuseable

I have a dewalt and wanted this just for fun. It seems to work; allowing an SDS bit to be used by a chuck style. Just be sure to coat it in oil when not using because it will rust quickly.

Erste Bewertung: 1 *Der Antriebsschaft ist aus dem Futter rausgerutscht. Der war offenbar nur geklemmt, und das nicht fest. Und das ist nicht beim aktiven Einsatz passiert, sondern beim Einsetzen eines 20x460 SDS Plus Makita Nemesis Bohrer. Als ich den Adapter hab runterhängen lassen, ist der Antriebsschaft einfach rausgerutscht...Zweite Bewertung: 5 *Nach dem erneuten einpressen des Schafts hat er bis heute gehalten. Ich habe den 6-Kant Teil abgelängt auf rund 5 cm Überstand, und die letzten 2 cm auf 1/4" Sechskantprofil gebracht. Dafür hatte ich mir diesen Adapter ursprünglich auch geholt. Damit kann ich jetzt alle meine SDS-Plus Bohrer einfach mit all meinen Akkuschraubern zusammen nutzen. Gerade wenn kein Schlag vom Bohrhammer notwendig ist (Kalksandstein, etc.), ist das eine genial praktische Lösung. Der Rundlauf ist um Welten besser, als wenn man SDS-Plus direkt in ein normales Bohrfutter einspannt.Insofern sind Preis-Leistung und Ergebnis für mich jetzt 5*.
