They're quite wide at the ankle so they'll go under your heel and fray if you have normal trainers on. No problems with the zip or pockets but there are some sewing threads that needed to be trimmed inside the pocket. I just bought 2 more pairs that were greatly reduced and slight seconds. The material is slightly different. Still feels thick but definitely smoother than the old ones. If you need good value long lasting jeans, these are perfect.

Comfortable and well made.

On the heavier denim side.
These are very good quality denim jeans. Perhaps serving me best in the colder months of the year. Being eldery I like the loose fit leg . Having purchased a couple of other brands these are the best stiched and thickest denim ones. One problem someone else has mentioned . I agree , they are too tight around the pocket area. A bit of a struggle to put hands in and out of. OK for a Yorkshireman like me though.

Considering "olive" appears in the colour, I was mystified by the image depicting a normal, medium wash indigo denim. I can only surmise the olive refers to the weft, which does have a greenish hue but only really noticeable on the inside of the jeans. Very high quality, made in Mexico. The sizing is close to the nominal, in that in size 38 they appear to be close to 38" unlike many jeans which run to over 40" in size 38. The only slight downside is that the right thigh pockets appear to be shallower and narrower than other carpenter jeans. My Carhartt pair swallows my mobile phone entirely while on the Dickies it's a tight fit and leaves some of the phone visible. That probably wouldn't affect the intended use for those pockets, which is for a folding carpenter's rule. No denim weight is published but it appears to be in the 13-14oz range going by the overall weight, which surprised me. Highly recommended.
