Cleveland Men's Golf 588 RTX Cavity Back Black Pearl Wedge

RabidTreeslothI recently broke my approach wedge on a follow through into a tree. So, to replace this club, I ordered a 50 degree 588 RTX wedge... The club looks amazing! The rotex groves make it look like a big finger print on the face of the club. The club has a very solid head, giving it plenty of weight to help your swing. With other wedges, I have never been able to get enough spin to stop the ball dead in its track like I can with this one. With the 588, I can get the ball to check and even roll back on the green. Short chips from the edge of the green run straight and are relatively easy to control. The only shot I have not quite gotten down with this club is the partial swing. I am getting better with it, but half the time it shoots off at an odd angle, nowhere close to the green. I'm sure it's just a matter of practice with the club to get the shot down. Overall, I am very happy with this club, and I am actually thinking about getting a 60 degree to go along with the 50. I don't know about the rest of their clubs, and I play with a set of 25 yr-old Pings that I see no reason to replace, but these wedges make such a difference to the short game. You can nip the ball off the fairway, but still punch a ball out of fried egg lie.PS Duh, I don't play with 25 yr old "woods," which would actually be made of wood, wouldn't they? :-) I have a Titleist driver and Callaway fairway woods.

I have the 56, 52, and 60 degree cavity back CLeveland 588 RXTs. They are super easy to hit and you can put a ton of spin on the ball. The cavity back and weight makes getting good contact very easy. Highly recommend for someone that has trouble getting down on their chips.

This club has phenomenal control even with an off shot with it being a cavity back. I played 18 last night and hit my first eagle ever with a wedge from 60 yds out. All in all this is a club you need in your bag for those mid range to short lob shots. highly recommend.

I like everything except the feel. The club feels a little hard or clinckly off the face. I like the color and look of the club In addition to the spin the it generates.

Never used a Lob wedge in the past but my short game needed some help so I added this to my bag. Have not been disappointed. This is a great club and I highly recommend it.

Was so used to my PW that I've been hitting this club very short. Now that I've got a feel, it's great. Great spin when you want it, awesome light touch.

Finlay found a club that I wouldn't hit "fat" all of the time! Just what I wanted to come out of the bunker or hit a short chip shot. At my age, couldn't use a blade anymore!!!
