First impressions of the machine are quite positive and I'll focus mostly on the build quality.Build:Well into the realm of "I didn't think they built stuff like this anymore." Very high quality injection molding throughout. The motor is well balanced: very quiet in operation compared to other food processors i've used and very little vibration noted. You can see forging and work hardening lines in the stainless steel attachments. No signs of warping in the lexan. Very good loose interference fit at the feed tube plungers. Overall the industrial design and workmanship of this unit is on par with Zojirushi appliances or Kitchen-Aid mixers.Ergonomics:I like simple food processors. This one is simple in operation. On and off/pulse with high leverage switches. Perfect. The locking mechanisms work well so far without needless faffing. I wish the smaller feed tube was a little larger. The larger feed tube disengages the motor so operations like adding tahini or other messier items slowly have a higher chance of spillage or require a spouted container. I'm suspicious about how easy it will be to trap gunk around the locking mechanisms. I'm also suspicious that there isn't any sort of loading mechanism to keep the chopping blade in place.Ease of cleaning: The manual recommends washing all pieces in the dishwasher. I don't have a newer dishwasher with neat little compartments to keep blades from being knocked around so the chopping blade will get hand washed. I'll update the review to assess how the lexan holds up from several months of dishwashing. I'm not a fan of the stainless steel fascia the machine has since I'd rather have white plastic appliances for their ease of cleaning and smaller visual weight.Power and results: The first thing I made in this machine was a large batch of hummus. Outstanding power and very quiet. The results were extremely smooth. I think I'll be able to knead dough or make a fine pesto just fine. I'll update on milling uniformity, grating, and slicing when I try those.

Until we bought this, we had no idea you could make Peanut Butter with peanuts (also works on Cashews, Walnuts or most anything else. Grinding is loud but it works Very well. Dishwasher works best to clean after heavy use but the blade (while Very Sharp) cleans well with running water and a sponge. Very satisfied and the pulse option with coffee beans gets just right grind every time (though it takes practice).

I had an average food processor for 39 years and it finally died. Watched Ina Garten and fell in love with the one she used which is this model. I absolutely don’t know how I survived all these years without it! Very heavy, sturdy base. Large 14-cup capacity, extremely powerful and takes much less time to process foods. So easy to clean. I use it daily and it stays on my kitchen counter as a small appliance work of art, lol! I purchased the white with gold metal band and it it beautiful. I very highly recommend this model. Well worth the money.

I just used my machine for the first time, and WHAT A BEAUTY!!! Its motor purrs with power! It's weighty! It's efficient! I love the luxe gold and white colors! My only complaint is that in September, I paid $249.99!!! Now, it is a steal at $169.99!! Too bad I don't need another one... Buy one if you are in the market for a wonderful processor!

Very powerful and heavy. I'm not a chef but I think when it comes to a Food Processor you get what you pay for. Don't cheap out like I usually do and buy this one.
