I'll start with the bad. The twine wrapping sucks up moisture like crazy and if you plan to use it regularly you will have to make sure it is absolutely dry after each wash. The pictures I've attached are how it came in the box. It was covered in mold. The box had gotten wet during shipping apparently. I almost took off stars for this but that is more on the shipping company than the seller. After a good scrub and a quick dip in some diluted bleach water it is fine now, as you can see in the other picture.I never had any leak problems which a lot of the comments hear have mentioned.Now on to the praise. Great aesthetic for our D&D games. I love the feel and the heft. It is perfectly able to hold an 18 oz drink so 16 oz beers are no problem at all. The drinks stay pretty cold or hot in it which was surprising. Honestly the price (30 USD right now) is the only thing keeping me from buying one for every one of my players as a gift. Loving this purchase.

Beautiful but stinks of chemicals! Chemical smell won’t go away, showed up cracked, leaked badly, the part where your lips go to take a drink is rough and bumpy against your lips. Left chemical aftertaste with whatever liquid you’re drinking! The seller needs to either do better or don’t sell this as a drinkable piece!

I'm giving this five stars because it's the styling of the mug. I want to give it less due to its finish upon receiving it. It seemed to me that had just been built. It still had a layer of fine saw dust in it. I questioned this on here and it was said to be ready go out of the box. I ended buying a high dollar epoxy seal for the inside and lacquer for the outside(see photo) as this was a gift to my friend who's never had a wooden mug. (Best for drinking craft beer or of BTW).

I ordered two, and they don’t even look like each other, much less the product pictured. They’re sloppily made and rough on the inside, but they’re also sealed with something on the inside that I have no idea if it’s food safe or not. The handles are different, the rope is different, the insides are beveled differently. This is just super misleading and disappointing

I bought this mug to take to my Dungeons and Dragons games and it is awesome! The interior is sanded but unfinished but after applying a couple coats of butchers block wax it's watertight and holds anything I pour into it, no problem. A well made and high quality piece.

This tankard is beautiful but sadly mine came with a small crack in the bottom. I didn't think it would effect it's ability to hold liquid but I tested it and the leaked rather fierce. I don't think it's on the crafters of this tankard but rather the mailman/women around where I live. it still makes for a great conversation piece though.

Tankard was actually pretty well made. Very sturdy and weight is what you would expect for this item. My only thing about it is that there is no sealant/lacquer/varnish on the inside of the cup. Will hold liquid pretty well but if it has any tendency to foam like soda of alcohol then this cup will triple that and cause your drink to be almost entirely of foam.Put a coating on the inside of the cup myself and now does not have that issue at all. However some may not like the foaming so please be advised.

Very nice mug! I was not sure how nice it was going to be but decided to take the chance. This is a nice size mug and seems to be well made. You will have to wash this item by hand though. I had originally purchased this as a beer mug to go with my husbands renaissance costume but he has been drinking hot and cold liquids out of it around the home and seems to really enjoy it.

The photos on the description show the binding is black but mine arrived with this hideous cheap looking yellow string around it! The inside of the handle is not varnished and is very rough. Utterly disappointed so I returned it for a refund

I bought this tankard for a 40th birthday present for my husband. I was very pleased to look at the product. However, my husband used it for the first time yesterday and it leaked everywhere and as you can see from the pictures it has split. Very very disappointed!!!! I am waiting for a response to get a refund now
