This peeler is heavy duty. It is made from a heavy weight metal and has an ergonomic handle that feels good in the hand. It is easy to grip firmly while peeling stuff with tough skins. The design allows for extended use with less fatigue. The blade is sharp enough to get through the skin of vegetables but doesn't go too deep preserving the food and reducing waste. It's not too sharp that it will easily take off skin if you slip. The blade swivels almost all the way in both directions and the handle is curved making it much easier than most peelers to go all the way around a potato and avoid cutting your hand. It is a great design and made so well I think it will last for a very long time. It's definitely worth the price.

This peeler has some good weight to it, looks very nice with its shiny appearance, and is easy to hold while peeling. I've been meaning to pick one up for my home bar for a while rather than just using a paring knife or regular old vegetable peeler (because what's a home bar without aesthetics?), and I can't say I'm disappointed. The swivel blade is sharp and makes peeling easy, whether it's a potato or the skin of an orange for a nice old fashioned. I just might have to pick up the rest of the set to match.

I've wanted one of these ever since I saw a chef on TV use one. Anytime I see something that performs an everyday task in a different way, I can't help but be intrigued.This is a nicely manufactured article, with good heft. I grabbed a potato and gave it a try. It was hard to get it to "bite" and difficult to get a long peel. The blade, which rotates in the frame on all potato peelers, rotates a lot more on this one. It rotates so far that I found myself trying to peel with the back side of the blade. Maybe this is somehow a feature and not a bug, but I don't see how.Maybe the potato was too round. I thought it might work better on a long, skinny vegetable, so I tried a carrot next. It worked great on that and was maybe even a little bit quicker. I'm sure that I'll get better with some practice.I'm going to keep it. Now if only I had an apron and a chef's hat I'd be all set. A seven-figure contract on the Food Network would be nice too.

This peeler has a very solid feel in one's hand, leaving a person in a mood to do battle with nearby vegetables one might prefer sans peel. The swiveling blade is quite sharp and I found it to make short work of vegetable and potato peels. It also looks rather nice on your stone countertop at foodie parties. Not that I have stone countertops, but a person can dream.

Received this peeler a few days ago and on unpackaging was impressed with the weight and design of it. Finish is very shiny and it is easy to hold for peeling a fruit or vegetable.I was able to peel an apple very quickly and cleanly, without losing too much of the fruit because I dug to deep into the apple. Balance is good and it certainly gets the job done. Would recommend.

The quality of this peeler is definitely superior. Its a beautiful and very well-made tool. It has a nice weight to it, is sturdy and durable. And it works beautifully too - it peels nice and smooth and feels good inside the palm of your hand. My husband and I both like it, and we have different hand sizes.You can’t beat the quality here. The material is strong and durable. The silver is shiny and it cleans very easily. Top of the line tool, I totally recommend.

This Berghoff corkscrew has a classic design and works well. The mirror finish is attractive and the handle also doubles as a cap bottle opener.The two wings make it easy to extract corks. If you haven't used this design of corkscrew before, you twist the tip of the auger worm into the top of a cork, turn the lever to drive the worm further into the cork. As you turn the lever pull, the wings on each side will rise up, and then you push down on both wings simultaneously to extract the cork.
