I wanted to love this vaporizer, and I do love the looks of the blue plastic water container. I'm also keeping it because it's the very dry season and I can't go without for weeks during an exchange. But I'm struggling with the ergonomics of using it and you should at least be informed before buying.The main problem is the gasket cover for filling it is on the BOTTOM of the tank, so it requires a strong seal not to leak. You must have tremendous wrist strength to close it completely. It strains my wrist each time I try to close or open it, and had I known about this I would never have bought it. But wait, there's more.The markings for close and open are embossed into the plastic, so if it's dark or you can't find your glasses, you cannot be sure you are jamming it more tightly closed or whether it's just being hard to open. I resolved this by using a magic marker to write OPEN and CLOSE with arrows in big letters, but that's so ugly and tacky and I shouldn't have to improve their product just to be able to use it without injuring my hand.The tank is only one liter/one quart size, and despite an up-to- 30-hour claim, it has never lasted 12 hours. I've resigned myself to filling it every 12 hours, or it just stops and everything in the room gets crackly dry until I notice.If I were buying again, knowing what I know now, I'd buy at least a 3-liter/quart tank (nearly a gallon) and I'd make sure the opening for filling it is NOT on the bottom of the tank so you don't need an absolute seal to close it.On the bright side, I like the ultrasonic cool mist part--the mist is quite fine and pleasurable. There is a Quick Start Guide that is easy to understand even without glasses. It does what it is supposed to do--it's just hard to use.

This humidifier is very quiet. Puts out a mist height of about 30" when turned all the way up, and the water tank lasts about 12 hrs when filled (on high). It easily fit in my sink to fill and has a removable cap to access the fill point. The cap does take a little effort to get off as it has a rubber seal to prevent leakage. The power cord is almost 6 feet long and the power adapter sticks out just 1.5" from the wall. The power adapter temp is 107 F when you have the unit on high. It's a little warm, but not hot or excessive. When you remove the reservoir, the base does have water remaining in it. It has a small blue light that glows when it is on, but is not very bright. Just right for a small night light. There is no off button for the light, but I'll be covering mine with some small tape as I prefer pitch black at night. Made in China. I'll update if I have issues with it, but so far I consider this a great buy for only $30.

I was worried I'd spill water while I was putting the reservoir on top, but I had no problems. The first time I filled it I didn't lock it all the way (it takes some effort) and while no water dripped, some water came out while it was going (I found that out when I lifted it to add more). Fortunately, it used all the water before turning itself off, leaving me no mess to contend with when I refilled it. I have it on a plastic tray on my dresser since you aren't supposed to set it directly on wood, and I'm using distilled water.I love being able to turn the nozzle wherever I want, that I can set it the strength anywhere on the dial, and the automatic shut-off. It was reasonably priced, has the features I was looking for, and I'm very happy with it.

I had another humidifier very similar to this one, but what makes this one much better is the big mouth for filling and/or letting air dry out each day. (It's big enough that I can get my hand & cleaning cloth down in there to dry it if I like, or I've let it go a day or more without emptying). The other great function is being able to unplug from the unit and not have to unplug it from the wall. Make it so easy to just unplug the unit each day and take to bathroom/kitchen for draining, emptying, drying cleaning. When I fill to the top it will run 8-9 hours before out of water and auto cut off. No regrets on this purchase with product or price.

So far we have had no issues. Good size for a bedroom. It’s quiet and you can put the night light on or opt to turn it off. Good product for price.

I have another one of these for a few years and it works quite well. Easy to clean, large enough opening. My two-year-old version of this does not have a power pack, just a plug into the wall. This one has a power pack. My concern is that the power pack gets warm. Wondering why that is. Otherwise, very pleased.

I love that the opening for this humidifier is big enough for me to put my hand in to clean. Also it only requires water. I have had others that had other requirements, salt, silver. This is very effective and simple.
