I use this for osteoarthritis in my right knee and it works great. You can wear it over pants or on the skin and it works just as well. I got the XXL after measuring 23 inches and it fits great and has lots of extra room to tighten or loosen. The only thing though is the middle strap crosses into the opening at the knee so I have to point it down some to stick it to the fabric. I guess that means I could’ve gone down a size, but I didn’t want to take a chance on having to exchange it.

I have a patella that likes to do a lateral subluxation (off to the side), especially when I sleep...and then I'm on crutches for days, and the pain is extreme. My Orthopod had me spend $600 on a sturdy brace for being active, but frankly this one works just as well and it's comfortable enough to sleep in. For me, the key is that 3rd strap that goes behind the knee--it keeps the brace in place. The gel pad around the patella is comfy and pushes on the patella to keep it "in the groove" (not slipping off to the side). One drawback: my foot swells when I wear it, but that's probably just me--it does what I need it to, as swelling is better than crippled!

It does help relieve bad knee pain, and stays in place.

I wanted to like this knee brace. Well constructed - 3 straps - nothing to squeeze over the bottom let to get in place. Problem is there is no elastic or anything at top of brace to hold it in place! No matter how tight I pulled the tab it still slipped down as I was moving. Sorry I had to leave a 3 star but it needs something to hold it in place. :( thx for asking!

I am a larger size woman with a bad left knee. It's difficult to find a knee brace that I can adjust to fit my knee/leg. This brace works good for me. It took a few tries to figure out how to get it adjusted it to fit my knee but once I did it really worked. I have less pain and am able to walk without a limp. Hopefully this will enable me to put off having to replace the knee for sometime as I have problems that complicate surgery.

It was what I expected. I needed support, I got support.

It is difficult to find knee braces that fit plus sizes, especially adjustable braces. This brace is what I was looking for. Plus sizing to accommodate my heavier thighs and adjusts to fit my closer to average size calves and knee itself. So far it has met my expectations. It is easily adjustable and stays in place with minimal slippage. It is well designed and well constructed as well as pretty easy to put on. Have only had it for a few days but so far is much more satisfactory than the brace I had previously worn. Affordable, too.
