Recommended for those who ever wanted to color a Buffy comic page~
I pre-ordered this coloring book as soon as I saw it in July 2016. Later I read the lackluster reviews for the Serenity coloring book, but I held hope out for this one. My initial flip through when I received it today, the day of release, was disappointment. I was taken aback by the anime influenced pages, and the lack of detail, particularly the faces, in other pages. Most look like linework for the comic book, and that isn't a positive for me. So, I ended up setting the coloring book aside, instead of pulling out my alcohol markers. Looking through it again a few hours later, I don't think it is as bad as my initial impression. The Drusilla artwork, in particular, are well done and are my favorite. Poor Buffy gets the worst of the artistic renditions, wildly different from page to page. I think it comes down to that three of the artists did the majority of the work. I feel that if the pages had been more evenly distributed among the artists, the overall quality would have been higher. Here's the breakdown of the artists and how many pages they did: Pablo Churin 11, Newsha Ghasemi 10, Rebekah Isaacs 1, Georges Jeanty 4, Yishan Li 4, Fernando Melek 2, Karl Moline 8, Steve Morris 4, Facundo Percio 2.Pros:-Currently good value of price for amount of pages to color.-Pages feel thick enough that bleeding through is less likely. (Although you should place some blank copy paper behind the page you're working on as insurance.)-Variety of artist styles to choose from.-One design per page, so you do not have to choose which side to do.Cons:-Anime influenced artwork included seems out of place compared to the rest.-Width of book unnecessary given the lack of detail on the majority of the artwork. Makes it harder to store.-Pages are not perforated, so will have to break the binding to get a page out.

Nice book, but make sure you have a lot of red, black and brown pens/ coloured pencils! :)
I like almost anything BtVS related and was so sillyhappy to find this book. The quotes that accompany each pic to colour are great. The downside for colouring, though is this - a full page that is the cage our werewolf friend (also known as Oz) locks himself in, the werewolf, and some books take 90% of the pic, so the only thing that isn't brown or gray is Willow. And most of the illustrations pretty much call for black, red, and even more brown! The imagined scene from S7 (which was funny on the show) when Andrew is telling us about the Trio "becoming gods" shows three white guys guys in white togas. Not so fun to colour. The drawings are really good, but there just isn't much to colour (and yep, I have done a few that don't look like they do on the show, but not really loving that). So three stars, because I think it could have been better. You can only colour Spike's black coat so many times before you actually miss Xander's crazy "clown clothes"! :0) Great if you love BtVS, not as much of you like to use lots of colour. (I really think it's cool that this show I was teased so much for watching the first few years has so many fans and people who get that this was just a really special, unique, great show! Just a personal thought!)

My FanGirl Is Insanely Pleased
As the ultimate Buffy fan, I was concerned this coloring book would be full of filler pages, irrelevant passages and art that left me wanting, however it was none of those things. The cover is matte with a spot gloss, absolutely gorgeous. When you open the book you find art on the right pages and quotes from the show on the left. The illustrations are excellent, with art coming from several different artists (some better than others, however none are bad). It really impressed me and I have to say it is the best adult coloring book I own (I have the Dr. Who, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter versions). To not buy this book would be a missed-stake ;)

So Excited! If You Love BtVS, Get This!
I'm a huge Buffy fan and this book is like a culmination of that love. I adore that they added quotes from the show. You immediately know where they came from and can picture the scene. The only thing that threw me were the pages where the characters looked ... too cartoony. At the back of the book, I discovered they used multiple artists, so then I didn't mind so much. All the major villains and love interests are there. My only complaint is that the only Willow and Oz pic is when he's in wolf form. Boo! But other than that I am super excited and I know I'll color every single page.

and I think that's cool. Some of the pages are breathtaking
I've been a Buffy fan since I was a kid. So for me, I've truly been waiting for this most of my life. I'm ecstatic this exists and can only hope for more versions to come. The artwork is different styles, and I think that's cool. Some of the pages are breathtaking. The Buffy cemetery scene? I've not been able to bring myself to color it yet; it looks like something I'd frame and hang on the wall. I'm planning to buy an extra copy just to have one uncolored because the art is so beautiful. Thank you to anyone who helped make this happen! A dream come true for any longstanding Buffy fan for sure.

BIG coloring book, nice quality!
I bought this for a friend, but when it arrived I was personally very surprised at how high quality it was. I thought the high (for a coloring book) $16 retail price was because Buffy was proprietary... But in fact, it looked and felt far more like a graphic novel than an adult coloring book! That makes sense since it's published by Dark Horse, which just makes the comic collector in me cringe slightly at the thought of someone coloring in this book! I'm sure my friend will have no problem with it though. She also loved that that the pictures also included quotes from the series on the opposite side.

Colorfully slayed
To say I was excited when I heard they were releasing this is an understatement. I've already colored 3 of the pages and it was the most fun I've had in a long time! Some aren't very detailed and others and very elaborate, like library scenes or The Bronze. The great thing about it is they aren't direct scenes from the show (see picture) so you can color how you want. Yes it covers from season 1 to season 7 which makes me super happy and all the big characters have a page you can color for them too! Overall I know this was a great purchase for me

Hours of fun
I liked this a lot but was a little disappointed that more pictures did not depict the Scooby gang (especially Zander) as a whole, other than that the paper is a good quality and the pictures are strongly printed, What I hate when it comes to colouring in books, in all the ones I own, only one has the pictures, one to a page. I tend to use felt tips or alcohol based pens and this means it bleeds on to the next picture, very frustrating!

Lovely artwork
Lovely book with detailed artistic rendering of beloved characters. Might have been nice for a few more 'straight up' scenes to colour but ultimately, if you know a Buffy fan who loves to colour in, this will keep them off the streets for a few weeks.

Beautiful designs!
Book came quicker than expected, I’m so happy to add this to my buffy collection! The designs are that beautiful I’m scared to colour them in! I have done a page or two in the book, the pages are thick no transfer so far. Very happy

Nice scene choice
As a life long Buffy fan I was so excited to find this. Some of the illustrations are not quite as good as I'd hoped, but overall it shows some classic scenes and quotes that instantly transport me to being an avid teenage fan. In to every generation a colouring book is born
