As far as lavs go this is the best budget setup. When they first arrived I put the SD card in and it wouldn’t come out for either of them. I ended up using tweezers and was upset because I thought I’d have to send them back, but I put it in again and they popped out good as new.Pros:1. It’s nice that I don’t have to deal with a receiver every thing just records on the SD card.2. They’re super tiny and can fit in my bag easily.3. They have an auto audio leveler which is a lifesaver.4. The mic it comes with is actually pretty good as is.Cons:1. Because it records straight to the card you have to sync audio with your camera audio, but it’s not that bad because most softwares do that really easily.2. The first time I put the micro SDs in they got stuck.

I've known this is the proper tool for the job for some time, and finally sprung for the pair. It's the best deal you can get on these Tascam lav mics. I just recorded my first interview and the sound quality is unbelievable. There was a baby screaming off camera 100 yds away and it was very audible, but these mics know what they're supposed to get and not. No baby in final audio. The sound is rich, full, and flawless. A must have investment for any filmmaker, especially documentary work.

The mic itself is quite popular for good reason, the quality is great. The SD cards that came with the bundle were not what were advertised I'm the picture. The seller sent 2 64 GB instead, which would normally be an upgrade if not for the fact that 64gb cards don't work with this product. Seller was quick to replace them though, so not too bad of an experience. Otherwise great!

Theses worked out of the box with no issues. Please, take time to find tune the options as per your usage. Also, take placing the belt clip in the right because afterwards it will be a bit of a pain to fix it.

I have several of these that I use for video productions. I have tried many wireless systems and always have issues with interference that ruins the audio. This is a good solution if you don't mind syncing the audio in post and not being able to monitor the audio while recording. I always record in dual mode that records two separate files at different levels to compensate for people who change their volume drastically as soon as you start recording.The headphones are junk. The 3.5mm jack is not designed correctly and only works in a few random devices if you push it in real hard and hold it the whole time. With the 1/4 adapter, the headphones don't work at all. This was the case with the first one of these I bought a few years ago and with the latest ones I bought in December 2019. I wonder if anyone at Tascam has ever tried any of these headphones.

I like the price and the ease of use.I keep the mic's set up to record two files simultaneously, with one file recording at several dB less than the other. So if one file is over modulated you can use the one that recorded at a lower level to avoid distortion. The only downside I see to having each mic being its own recorder is you can't really monitor the sound as it's recording. So I do a quick check with each mic hooked up to headphones to make sure they sound ok before I start recording.And there is an upside to these mic's over using ones with wireless transmitters and receivers. I don't have to worry about any RF interference or dropout.I haven't had any issues with them and I've used them at least a dozen times. I plan to purchase a couple more.

These things are so freakin' awesome. I've been using Sennheiser G2 wireless transmitters for filming weddings and have had SO many issues with interference, but these things are freakin perfect. Excellent sound, easy to operate. I love these. I'm switching all my teams over to using these for filming live events.

Got my package and started to do the unboxing. The memory cards that were sent with the device are not compatible. It says that they will send you 32gb Sandisk ultras but instead I got two 64gb Hyundai memory.The card reader doesnt read anything over 32gb and when I reduced the size down through the disk manager I found that the card being SDXC not SDHD is not compatible with the recorder. I have to go buy a different memory card for both of them tomorrow.Annoying but not the end of the world if the recorders do work after getting the right parts.
