Memoir '44: Battles of Khalkhin-Gol Expansion

I love that this one comes with a couple pre-printed breakthrough scenarios as well, because I probably wouldn't have tried breakthrough otherwise (and it's fun). Note that if you don't have the breakthrough deck, you'll need to look up which cards to add from a second deck to create it, and the "on the move" rules. This and the "through jungle and desert" are probably the best battle maps (the latter because the extra cards are nice to play with).

I have all but one of the expansions. This is a good one to get. Comes with 6 armored cars and 6 tankettes. Has 2 overlord and 2 breakthrough scenarios. Also has 8 regular scenarios that can be strung together and played as a big campaign.

When this Memoir 44 expansion arrived, the folder it came in was ripped and we couldn't read the instructions. The paper maps were warped and rippled so we couldn't lay them flat. 6 tanks and 6 armored cars were supposed to come with it and they were all missing. We also realized we needed a lot of other expansions to be able to play with this expansion. Not all of the expansions needed are available for purchase at this time. This could be a fun expansion to play but after buying all the expansions needed it would have been very costly.

Enjoyable campaign, interesting theme / time period, great maps. Comes with 2 overlord battles, the Khalkhin Gol one is tricky yet fun, the Pacific one on the back is very interesting and unique and was very close when we played it. The 2 breakthrough battles were good too. Loved the Armored cars. Only complaint is that the unit pieces are so small, but I think they are comparably sized to the half tracks or supply trucks. With 6 single, 2 BT, and 2 OL and Armored cars, definitely worth it

An excellent map pack. New scenarios that pit the Soviets vs the Japanese. They include two new unit types. Tankettes and armored cars. The set requires the equipment pack, main game, eastern front and pacific theatre. However if you have the main game, the overlord expansion and any the terrain pack you have enough to make it work. The rules for all the units are available on the DoW website.

My son was thrilled to find this expansion of Memoir 44 to add to his growing collection of this challenging game. Hours and hours of pleasure have begun.

If you love to play Memoir 44 then you should get this expansion. It has a great mix of scenarios, both big and small. Very challenging, especially Tightening the Noose. Highly recommended.

S'y rajoutent des figurines pour les nouveaux véhicules utilisables sans oublier les règles pour une campagne de plusieurs scénarios sur la guerre (méconnue) entre l'URSS et le Japon en 1939 ! Bien entendu, pour pouvoir jouer, il faut aussi au moins la boîte de base et l'extension Overlord ! des heures de jeu en perspective !
