This product does have an oder but I am grown to love the scent! I bought this because my little Dachshund has been suffering from fungus under both his front legs at what is the armpit area. It was treated by his Vet unsuccessfully, I bought this wonderful product from Chewy that comes in a mouse, for cleansing the area, it helps but it stings him, and he pull away with a soft whine(he is usually very tolerant when I provide care to him. I rescued him at 6 months old, and have trained, provided security, rewarded his many efforts to please, house trained, leash trained, potty patch trained, and mostly loved him while providing medical and health care to him). This fungus has really bothered him and constant licking the result which caused him to get some type of microscopic mite. When I examined under the microscope, I was devastated! My little Dasch has NEVER, had a flea, a mosquito, any type of bite or parasite. He is family and is cared for like my child! I watched a video by a great Veterinarian, providing information about how to treat this condition. I started with his recommendation of Olive oil, and order this product the same day! I researched and found this company with certified organic 100% pure Calendula oil, family owned business. The product is potent, the quality is excellent! The next day, I received this product and followed the Vet’s formula/recipe. I applied this to every area, where a hot spot was even beginning! The very next day, every red hot spot was completely gone! It’s amazing how quickly it works! I have continued this treatment as per the instructions, now as a maintenance treatment. I did have to address the licking, I made a homemade cardboard cone to prevent his licking for the first week of treatment. Before I placed it on my sweet boy, he did manage to lick a reasonable amount off. It’s diluted with olive oil, but I can report that it didn’t harm him at all! Honestly he liked the taste a little too much! Hahahahaha! Thus the DIY cone collar! I sprayed a little on some allergic dermatitis spots on my arm. I have allergies to many things in the environment and in an extremely high allergen area of Texas. This oil in amazing! The next day, all the allergic dermatitis hot spots on my left arm were gone!!! If you research it’s uses, it works well in skin regimes, and diluted in beauty products! I highly recommend this product and this seller! Thanks for the great product and making it affordable!

This oil appeared to be the secret ingredient in most pregnancy oils. I tend to react to things with lots of ingredients, so I purchased this and I use it with Almond oil as a carrier oil. The dispenser is fantastic is squirts out a measured amount each time I use it. I wasn't sure about the long term stability of pre-mixing this oil with almond. So each time I apply it, I just squirt a little almond oil into my hand and a pump of the calendula oil and mix with my finger before applying. I didn't use any oils with my first pregnancy and I ended up with an insanely itchy pregnancy rash on my tummy. I did develop stretch marks and after pregnancy I had a really loose skin pouch that remained for a couple of years. I've been using the oil after I shower daily and I don't have any unsightly stretch marks, maybe just a slight discoloration. In fact I think it's made old stretch marks look better. I've had no rash and my skin feels soft. I haven't even used half the bottle and I've been using this for a couple of months already, with just a month or so left until baby arrives. The oil does have a strong smell. It's kind of nutty/flowery. I wouldn't call it unpleasant, but it's not something I like either. Just a reminder that this is an oil made from the calendula seeds. It is not the type of oil that is made from the calendula petals in a carrier oil. That makes this oil higher quality IMO.

Glass sealed bottle with pump. Goes to the skin very fast, not greasy. It's very strong smell I don't care for. Even my pets don't like the smell. I will update after a month of use if it really help.

I bought this as a Moisturizer for my skin. Its really moisturizing. And you only need a little bit. I'm 62 and it really helps my skin. I recommend this to anyone who needs a good Moisturizer

I use it in a dish for my bird window feeder to keep the squirrels away. Works like a charm. Squirrels hate the smell.

Love this pure Marigold oil! Frst whif out of the bottle smells great, flowery. However, when you pump small amount out and rub it in your skin it has a very pungent natural smell that is so concentrated and intense that is unpleasant at first (as are for example geranium, rhododendron or rose essential oils, or many natural cold pressed unrefined oils) but fragrance becomes more and more pleasant, intoxicating and wonderful overtime. It is great by itself or blended with any other oil. This oil has a bright yellow/orrange/amber color. Based on fragrance,, I personally believe it is not made from calendula but tagetes species (despite the labal), please keep it that way. Packaging is elegant and simple, amber glass bottle with treatment pump. Price is fair. I will be reordering this oil in the future for sure. This is now one of my top favorite oils for everything, (next to pure cold pressed unrefined amla oil by Velona).

My original five-star review was posted when this product was cold pressed calendula seed oil. It was a thick oil with a deep, deep orange gold color, indicating a high content of the plant's powerful healing flavones. It had a woodsy/floral scent which became quite pleasant when diluted for use on skin or hair. Unfortunately, the product has changed. It is now a very pale infused oil with a slight golden tinge. It still carries the scent of calendula but I do not find it as strong, in terms of healing power, as the previous product. If you are looking for an infused oil this will probably meet your needs. If you need the strength of the cold pressed seed oil, this is no longer that product and you will have to look elsewhere.
