The BEST grapefruit knife by far
This device cuts through the septae with ease and without a mess. You get clean pieces of grapefruit without getting splashed and crushing the fruit. It just makes eating grapefruit easier and cleaner - just great!

Good design for easier prep
This knife works well and makes serving grapefruit (or other citrus fruit) faster and easier.Separating the sections is easier and takes half the time. Great for breakfast or making fruit salads.The knife is easily cleaned in the dishwasher, too.We like it so much, we bought as stocking stuffers for our daughters.

Genius!
This grapefruit knife is far superior to others. One end of it is curved, so you can release the segments from the outer rind. This in and of itself is not remarkable since all grapefruit knives typically will include this feature. But what makes this knife special is the OTHER end. The blade is split in the middle essentially resulting in two blades, which are perfectly spaced to allow them to slide in on each side of the membrane that separates the segments of fruit. As a result, it takes half as much time to release the fruit with this knife as it does with other knives, allowing you to get to the fun part faster - the EATING of the grapefruit! Seriously, folks, this is one cool knife! After using it, you don't even need one of those grapefruit spoons with the serated edge - the fruit is already separated and ready to eat! Really a brilliant design. I wish I would have thought of it. :-) I liked it so much I bought a second one to take to work.

One end is great, the other is useless
I bought this thinking some of the other reviews were off the mark as I though the split edged knife would be the best thing since sliced bread. That's not the case, and the other reviews were spot on. The split knife is on the verge of being defective. The edges are not sharp and the blade cuts should be mirrored and they are not. So, thee tend to separate when you slide into the grapefruit. and because they are not terribly sharp, you really have to force it in and it ends up just juicing the pulp. The curved knife blade on the opposite side of the handle is great. It's sharp and works as expected. I should have believed the other reviews and just bought a traditional one blade style knife.

The other day I searched for mine that I’ve had for years and it was gone!! I purchased this one and they truly are the best for cutting the membrane

Best design for preparing grapefruit
Wanted another one of these after finding the 1st one at an estate sale. Glad to find it on Amazon & happy with the quality which has stayed the same.
