KascoDeicer 1/2 HP Lake & Pond De-icer 120V – Single Phase with 25 Ft Electric Power Cord | Water Deicer for Ponds, Lakes & Dock Bubbler

We have had a Kasco Deicer (exact same model as this) and it kept popping the gfi breaker. I looked down at the motor tag and saw that we bought this in 2005 almost 20 years ago! We live in the Adirondack Mts where the winter is long and hard and the ice freezes a foot thick on our lake. It has worked flawlessly for almost 20 years in a row....WOW! We could have tried to repair but we decided to buy another Kasco. Not even a question.....Kasco is quality. Thank you.

The quality and price of the product and that's exactly what I received from Amazon, thanks, always great shopping with Amazon.

One of those items that you must have for boat dock if you live in colder climate. Luckily has not been needed yet this season. Will update if it gets used.

It shipped quickly and arrived on time, we had to chip through 3 inches of ice to drop it in. By that afternoon it had cleared one well and half of the second well. We will be more proactive next year. It started behind ice wise and had to work hard to catch up as we had a week of below zero days. It has only been in a week today and should be getting a break weather wise.

I put it in the lake, so far so good. Let’s see what happens when the ice forms.

I received the De-icer just as advertised and a month later or so, after installing it noticed it wasn't functioning. After pulling the de-icer out, I noticed the problem with the propeller embedded into the power cord. After contacting Water Land & Home, the sent me a new power cord to replace the cord that had been damaged in manufacturing. Reinstalled the pump and it is out de-icing even as we speak! Scott and Michael at Water Land & Home were very responsive, not only via email but also phone calls to let me know how the problem had been resolved and when I should receive it. Excellent Customer Service!
