Is anyone having problems with these belts being too tight?

The new belt will be much tighter than the old belt. Don't panic. It will go on. I microwaved mine in a cup of water to the temperature of boiling. This may have helped the installation, at least some. Generally, you place the belt on the small spindle first, and then rotate the large pulley while sliding the belt over the pulley. One person felt the 38528-035 is not a good replacement for the 38528-056. I faced this problem, then discovered the 035 works just fine. Check out some videos.

Able to install drive belt no problem. but agitator belt is way too loose. even when i drop it down to engage the belt. it's too loose. any advice?

The drive belt is very tight and somewhat difficult to install.The agitator belt is the easiest to install.I've never had one too loose.

These belts break after about 5 uses. I vacuum every day. Anyone else have that problem?

Will these fit U6476-900?

I have one of the machines they supposedly fit. They're very close, but the fact is they don't work right. My machine is supposed to be able to idle the brush roller so that you can use it on hardwood floors without damaging them. These belts won't allow the idle process. They're not "genuine" even though they are marked like the factory belts
