Patagonia's reason for being: Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire, and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. Patagonia grew out of a small company that made tools for climbers, as a result Alpinism remains at the heart of a worldwide business that still makes clothing and shoes for climbing--as well as for skiing, snowboarding, surfing, fly fishing, paddling and trail running. In each of these sports, the reward comes in the form of hard-won grace and moments of connection between the athlete and nature. Patagonia's values reflect those of a business started by a band of climbers and surfers, and the minimalist style they promoted; the approach they take towards product design demonstrates a bias for simplicity and utility. At Patagonia, a love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them, and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. Patagonia donates their time, services and at least 1% of sales to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups all over the world who work to help reverse the tide, and they work steadily to reduce any pollution and harms caused by their business activity. They use recycled polyester in many of their clothes and only organic, rather than pesticide-intensive, cotton. Staying true to their core values during thirty-plus years in business has helped create a company the employees are proud to run and work for, and their focus on making the best products possible has brought success in the marketplace.

Patagonia Men's Maui Lace Moccasin
Nice shoes, wide toe box. Good looking in a rather casual sort of way. Comfortable to wear and very lightweight. Recommended.

Super comfortable ugly duckling
Very comfortable but indeed very ugly - looks much worse in real life than on the online photos.

Large toebox, Bungee more of a grey-beige than brown - picture not accurate
I'm a big guy and I found these very comfortable and cushiony. But I have my suspicions that over time they would compress and be less comfortable. They'd be great as travel shoes due to being so incredibly lite and packable, and comfortable. They are fairly true-to-size but have a large toebox. Construction is solid. Kind of a hybrid between smooth leather and nubuck.Patagonia's warranty is pretty good, but not LL Bean good. I mean you couldn't go in after 20 years of ownership and get a new pair if they failed. Which these will, long before that. Patagonia has changed in that they will refuse, or really try to prevent returns due to failures after a few years of ownership.Only real drawback is that the Bungee color is more of a grey-beige than brown. The picture isn't accurate at all, so I returned them.

Almost perfect
I was pleasantly surprised at these shoes. I knew nothing about Patagonia, but the price was right and I took a chance. They are the lightest weight shoe I've ever owned, and were surprisingly comfortable right out of the box (and with their own insert). The only things that prevented 5 stars are the laces and tongue. The laces are broad and flat, which makes them a bit odd to tie. The top of the tongue tends to bind occasionally against my instep if I lace up snug. I'm going shopping for new laces to see if it helps with this very minor problem. The fit was otherwise excellent. (Note: these are purely for casual wear--do not expect to ever look "dressy" in them.) I'll be interested to see how well they hold up. For now they're my new favorite kicks!

Do not buy.
Not recomended at all. Look dirty and old since the first use and it is impossible to improve. The leather looks like a turtle's shell with deep grooves.

Good show for wide toe box
Very comfy. These have a much needed wide toe box (Morton's Neuroma). Not sure how they will hold up, but very pleased thus far. Shoes are light weight, have decent support and look good enough.

Much wider and clunkier in person, looks like shoes made for diabetic patients.
This shoe looks different in person. They look more like boat shoes on line but in person they are very wide and clunky. They look like shoes made for diabetic patients. We sent these back right away, disappointing because they look like they'd be a good looking shoe by their internet pictures.

Not your every day shoe...
I was looking for something that was durable, comfortable, and light. Patagonia is a company I usually trust since I have many of their products (Shirts, pants, jackets, etc...). I have had this pair for about two months and the sloe is about to wear through... :( Kind of bummed because I really liked the way they feel and look. Probably won't be getting another pair of these again for every-day use. Maybe if I need a shoe for indoor stuff...
