SECURED
Review of the Erickson 09160 Wheel Chock Tie-Down Kit I recently purchased the Erickson 09160 Wheel Chock Tie-Down Kit, and I have to say, it has exceeded my expectations! Design and Quality: The kit comes with sturdy wheel chocks that are designed to keep my vehicle securely in place. The durable construction ensures they can withstand heavy loads, which gives me peace of mind during transport. The bright color also makes them easy to spot, even in low light conditions. Ease of Use: Setting up the tie-downs was straightforward. The kit includes everything you need, and the instructions are clear. I appreciate the versatility of the tie-downs; they fit a variety of vehicles, making it a great investment for anyone who needs to secure trailers, boats, or even ATVs. Performance: I’ve used the kit multiple times now, and it has performed flawlessly. The chocks hold the wheels securely in place, preventing any movement during transit. I’ve taken my trailer on some bumpy roads, and I was impressed with how well everything stayed in position. Value for Money: Considering the quality and effectiveness of the kit, I believe it offers great value for the price. It’s a small investment for the added safety and security it provides. Overall: If you’re looking for a reliable wheel chock tie-down kit, I highly recommend the Erickson 09160. It’s well-built, easy to use, and ensures that your vehicles stay safe and secure during transport. A must-have for anyone who frequently tows!

FANTASTIC PRODUCT! It's NOT fair all the negative reviews because you're too lazy to read!
First of all, if you can read, you already know there is no mounting hardware. They have no idea what you are going to put these on. Is it a trailer with a treated 1 1/2" wood deck, a treated 5/4" deck, a 3/4" plywood deck, a 1" expanded metal deck, or a 2" corrugated aluminum deck? Learn to read and stop buying things by looking at the pictures and then blaming the seller because you are too lazy to read and have a TikTok attention span. The chocks are great. I put them on a landscape trailer to hold a 42" zero-turn Husky mower for transport. They work fantastically. They also work by just pulling the mower into the void and running to your next stop without putting the straps on. I wouldn't want to do this if it were dirt or bumpy roads, but 3 blocks on a paved street, where you still had to strap it down because when you hit the brakes the mower moved, these chocks keep it in place. HUGE time saver if you're making money mowing. Honestly, it's enough time in a day I can get one more small mow done. When you are a one-man operation, every minute counts. The tie downs are faster than hitting four corners of a mower. To be honest I never put them both on, one is adequate. Now, I ran the chocks to where the tires fit nice and tight between them. There is no slop or play. I did that so I (hopefully) could run in town in safety without the straps on (and as I said, it works fine). These ramps are a very good value for your money as far as I'm concerned, and a no-brainer for an addition to a landscape trailer. They will save you time. And honestly, give you back usable real estate on your trailer deck not having to string tie-downs to tie-down points. I hope this helps someone.

Affordable, effective Tie-Down system
These were very easy to install, perform well for the purpose I bought them, and hold my SxS in place effectively. I have no concern of the load shifting in my trailer when using these, so having the peach of mind is well worth the price. The multiple latch mount locations also helps for tying down other load types as well.

Plan your hardware accordingly. kit is otherwise perfect.
Great kit for the price, however... They do NOT include mounting hardware. I wanted to use stainless hardware to mount these to my trailer. Do not buy the stainless hardware from lowes unless you want to spend $40 per set. That's right, stainless hardware ran me more than the price of these fine tie down kits. Buy that hardware online at Amazon of course (I used 1/4 inch stainless bolts, washers, and nylock nuts) or rural King/tractor supply. The kit itself was great! I bought 2 sets to tie down each wheel of my rzr900. Put the rzr/atv on the trailer, the mark your holes. Don't forget to look under that trailer so you don't drill into places you can't put a nut. I was traveling 35mph when 2 small unattended children walked off the sidewalk right in front of my SUV without even looking. Full panic stop while the kids froze in front of me. Came within a car length of a very sad day. Pulled over to collect myself and check the rzr/trailer/suv for damage fully expecting these cleats to have come ripping loose. 1200 lb plus fluids n fuel on that rzr and it didn't move an inch. Ratchet straps were in perfect shape. Can't recommend these enough. I tested them more than I ever wished to... update: Trailer stored outside, no rust at all on the yellow cleats. I did have one strap pop out of the etrack slot while driving. I now give each end a tug each direction before tightening to the RZR tires to make sure they are secure. Finding an exact replacement for the damaged strap was a problem. I purchased an Erickson 59136 strap and cut it down adding a foot extra in case of adding larger tires in the future. Update2 aug 2019: larger trailer, installed a new set of 4. Couple install tips now that I've done this a few times.. On a wood deck, try to install the wheel chocks on 2 separate boards. Have the chocks straddle 2 pieces of wood. This tip not only gives a more solid mount as your closer to the center of the board, but ALSO no single point of failure if you have a random knot or weak board. I have gone a bit further because of the incident above and use 1/8" aluminum plate under my trailer as a backing. This makes a sandwich of the boards delaying any weakness from rot over time. Tip 2; each wheel chock is just a little different. If you lay out your chocks on the trailer and mark them with each chock going in that exact spot. DO not use one chock to mark all of your holes. They will not match the holes of different chocks. I have made this mistake only to realize after I drilled all the holes the other chalks won't line up :(.. Update3: I have tried a few alternatives for UTV tie-downs on a new trailer with rails. Using 5' etrac sections and over-the-tire web style tie down, thinking this would save time. it's not cost-effective and it's simply not faster. I believe this Erickson kit is still the way to go. I have tried no-name replacement ratchet e-trac straps of similar color and spec for this kit. They corroded pretty quickly for some reason. I believe Erickson straps are a touch longer than before with this kit. Early kits would maybe do a 29" tire, now my new UTV has 29" tires with plenty of strap left to go larger.

This Erickson wheel chock system has completely transformed how I transport my Harley and side-by-side. The heavy-duty steel construction feels incredibly solid - no flexing or bending even with my 800lb touring bike. Why This Kit Earns 5 Stars: ✔ Rock-Solid Stability - The chock's wide base and angled design cradles tires perfectly, eliminating any wobble during transit ✔ Brilliant Tie-Down Integration - Built-in D-rings make securing loads effortless compared to separate chock/strap systems ✔ Versatile Fit - Adjustable width accommodates everything from my sport bike (120mm tire) to UTVs (64" wheelbase) ✔ Smart Design Touches - Powder-coated finish resists rust, and the low-profile doesn't interfere with loading ramps I've used this across 3,000+ miles of towing now - through rain, rough roads, and even an emergency brake situation where it prevented what could've been disastrous movement. The quality exceeds professional shop equipment I've used at twice the price. Perfect For: ✓ Motorcycle enthusiasts ✓ UTV/ATV owners ✓ Anyone who trailers equipment regularly Worth every penny for the peace of mind alone. One of those rare purchases that actually outperforms its description!
