feel good product.
this product makes me feel like a better mother. haha that sounds funny but I love knowing that I am sneaking nutrition into my daughters food without her knowledge. She is suuuuuch a picky eater but she loves her mac and cheese and I can sneak this in undetected. Thats a win in my book! its huge too so it lasts forever

Has a cheesy flavor. Adds protein and a number of B vitamins to foods.
I do a lot of cooking and am always looking for different recipes to give me ideas to vary our diet. I am also into healthy foods and avoid GMO products as much as possible. Braggs has become a brand I trust since I use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar which is totally non-GMO whereas many vinegars are made using GMO soy. I very much believe that "you are what you eat". My husband and I are both in our late 70's, and neither of us have any health issues nor are we taking any medications at all.I recently came across a recipe that called for nutritional yeast, which I had not heard of, so I did some research on it. I found that although nutritional yeast is used as a seasoning, it contains protein and a number of B vitamins that most diets are deficient in. It should be noted here that B vitamins are an addition to some brands of nutritional yeast, but not all brands include them. Bragg Nutritional yeast does include the B vitamins, including vitamin B12 which seems to be the vitamin many are deficient in. Not all brands of nutritional yeast contain all of the vitamins and minerals that this one does. You should check what is included in any other brand you might consider. The main benefits of this nutritional yeast are:- Protein. Nutritional yeast contains all nine essential amino acids that you must obtain from food. It’s also a source of high quality plant protein- B vitamins. Fortified nutritional yeast is especially rich in B vitamins, including thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), and B6 and B12- Trace minerals. These include zinc, selenium, manganese, and molybdenum, which are involved in gene regulation, metabolism, growth, and immunity- Provides a tasty way to add B vitamins and trace minerals to food without taking more pills.- A great way to thicken creamed soups or other recipes that thinned after freezing. As for uses of nutritional yeast, you can use it:- as a seasoning for popcorn, pasta, salad, or casserole dishes- as an umami flavor in soups, stews, or chili- as a savory, cheesy flavor in vegan sauces- as a thickener for soups and sauces- as an ingredient in smoothies- as an addition to any recipe already containing cheese, ie. macaroni and cheese. Can't have too much cheese, right?Personally, I am open to using products that add health value to foods. Tonight, we had homegrown steamed scarlet kale for a veggie, and I mixed 2 tsp. of this nutritional yeast into the kale after steaming and adding some butter. The recommended amount for a serving is 2 tbsp. but I was conservative since the seasoning is new to me. My husband didn't taste a difference, but I tasted a hint of cheese. I will add more to the next veggies we have since I did like the flavor it added to the greens. Although the flavor of the seasoning, depending on how much you use, is subtle, the additional B vitamins added to foods is much better than having to take daily pill supplements. I will likely be using this as a seasoning to add flavor and B vitamins to the greens I grow and use as sides. I do like the flavor it adds and will be experimenting with adding it to other foods and recipes.I will update this review as I gain more experience in using this healthy seasoning. I am all for anything that adds nutritional benefits to to foods we eat. Personally, I don't see a benefit over the original blend as the garlic is not at all noticeable.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Nutritional and tasty
I love this product. It is a great thickening agent for tofu, it also works as a seasoning like parmesan when I sprinkle it on salads or spaghetti. Im trying to eat a diet that doesn't include meat and the protein in this nutritional yeast is a boost to vegetarian meals. I subscribed because I can't find it in my grocery store.

Love this buttery tasting goodness!!!!
Everyone should know about this stuff!! 2 tbsp has 5 grams of complete protein! It's loaded with vit B and tastes like butter!!!! We put it on popcorn, potatoes, pasta, brussel sprouts and so much more. It's incredibly good for vegan cooking, also.

odor
Update on my earlier 1 star review: Initially I thought the unpleasant smell means the yeast was not good, at least not fresh. But after I read similar comments on reddit on the strong odor, I realized that the odor may be one feature of this yeast: some people many like the odor, some may not, I happened to be in the 2nd group. However, the reddit comments made me realize that at least I should try the yeast. Surprisingly, after using it for a while, I found that I gradually got used to its smell, and the taste of this yeast also went from OK to pretty good. So, the yeast I received was fresh. its strong odor may be because of the type of cheese being used to make the yeast. Overall it is a good product and I would be irresponsible not to update my earlier 1star review.

GREAT FLAVOR AND GOOD ON MANY DISHES
I love the taste of Nutritional Yeast and have purchased Bragg products many times. They are consistently high quality. The Nutritional Yeast is great sprinkled on Salads, or any other dish where you want to add a nutritional boost and extra flavor. It is also great on Popcorn.

Tasty and healthy
We have started the eliminating fats of oils from our diet. We still eat meat but we've been moving towards very lean meat a lot more vegetables and the nutritional yeast help us cut out a lot of cheese. The stuff taste good and it's a lot better for you than the parmesan cheese on spaghetti. It's a taste all of its own but it's been around for almost a hundred years so obviously people like it.

A Staple in our Home
Braggs is a good product and it tastes better than other nutritional yeasts that I have tried. Great on popcorn. Sometimes I just take a tablespoon because it tastes good and I can use the vitamins.
