Super good & easy!
This tastes just like when Mom makes it from scratch - for real. All you have to do is add 1 cup each of fresh chopped green onions, cilantro and sliced shallots or onion of choice. No need to add lime or any other seasonings. 1 packet is enough for 1-1.5 lbs. of meat. It is pretty spicy if you add the whole packet so start out with half and add more to taste. Good with ground chicken or pork and also thinly slicked beef. Server with sliced cucumbers and rice - yum!

Convenient & Authentic
You don't need to drive an hour to your nearest asian store you can get these here and having authentic-ish Laab is as easy as following directions.

High salt content but yummy
This is very tasty, and makes great laab. Warning, it is extremely salty. Especially considering that you ultimately, when making this dish, will add fish sauce as well. Which is itself salty. So half a pack is way more than enough for the typical pound and a half or so of ground chicken that you get to make laab for, say, 3 people. I took a star off because I think it's excessively salty. Even after adding all the herbs and things, it is more salty than it needs to be

Fabulous!
Love this! Laab is my favorite and I find these packets much easier than tracking down roasted rice powders and roasted chili flakes. It has some pretty good heat, probably medium on a Thai restaurant scale. So far Iāve only done pork. I added a bit of lime juice, scallions, mint, and I like mine with roasted peanuts. Cucumbers and rice and youāre good to go. Yum!

Wow! Authentic larb/namtok!
This seasoning is fantastic! Iām Vietnamese and I shop at asian grocery stores all the time. Iām used to finding interesting spices, sauces, etc, to help me make my favorite restaurant dishes. So Iām not sure how Iāve been eating larb/namtok for almost 20 years in Chicago and never figured the recipe out - but now I have!!! Thanks to Lobo. The secret is definitely the rice powder, but there is so much more to this packet of seasoning that truly makes the dish. I highly recommend it - cook as directed and place your larb or namtok atop a bed of lettuce, cucumbers, shallots, green onions, cucumbers and plenty of fresh herbs like mint and cilantro. Youāll need to mix the spice packet with some fish sauce, lime, and water to create a ādressingā if you are trying to make your dish a true salad like it is served in restaurants. If you are like me and lucky enough to have some Vietnamese nuoc cham around, use that in lieu of fish sauce for extra umami in your dish. Amazing flavor - so happy to have found this!

Once cooked I throw in some sliced veggies like shallots, orange or yellow bell peppers
I spent 3 months in Thailand some time ago and always looking for authentic tasting Thai food. My New York restaurants often fail me, dishes are often too much adjusted to the American taste, or too oily and unhealthy. This seasoning mix is very tasty and close to the real thing in Thailand. Talking convenient: I mix it with 1 lb of low fat ground organic chicken. Once cooked I throw in some sliced veggies like shallots, orange or yellow bell peppers, carrots, green onions and some crushed peanuts. Just stir fry for 2 more minutes, keep the veggies crisp, and you are done. Throwing some fresh mint leaves or cilantro makes it even better. Serve it over Jasmine rice. Very quick and easy dinner.

This is every bit as good as their signature Pad Krapao paste. Superb quality, taste and so easy to use. We like to simply "stir fry" chicken mince or lean pork mince in a bit of water then, when cooked, tip in the contents of the pack, stir for a minute or two, and serve. Favourite way of eating Laab is to take apart an Iceberg, Romaine or Sweet Gem lettuce, chill the leaves then use them to scoop the Laab out of the wok. Mmmmmm, it's that classic sweet, savoury, spicy, tender and crunchy comboš¤¤. I make Laab from scratch, roast and powder the rice myself...the whole nine yards. But this is so good that it's one of those "but why bother" products, when you want a night off from the cooker.
