These do work but take some getting used to for some dogs
Had these a few days now so feel I can give an honest review. I have a 7 year old chihuahua and a year old toy poodle x, they are the most spoilt and poorly trained dogs I've ever known. Whilst I accept this is totally my own doing, my husband and I could take the incesent barking no more so we purchased these collars. They have put the fear of God into them and so far so good, not a dickie bird... However, the only down side is my chihuahua seems terrified. The poodle isn't bothered by wearing it but the master of house hasn't yet got used to it. We are only using them for short periods throughout the day and never left on whilst we're out. All in all I'd recommend them as they do work but they're going to take some getting used to for the more difficult customers.

Don't doubt it! I did and I was amazed!
If I could give this product 10 stars I would!!! My beautiful German shepherd cross doggy is wonderful in every way... his only downfall that no matter what training I tried to enforce could not fix was everytime he went out into our overlooked garden he would charge frantically out as fast as he could to the end and back barking like a rabid dog.. whether it was the squirrels or the scent of a fox I'm not sure but since the first time he wore his collar.. he barked three times and since it has stopped completely. The collar doesn't inflict any pain whatsoever.. there is no way I would put it on him if he did! It just reminds him that he has to be a good boy when he goes out there day or night. He now knows the drill that when it's wee wee time he sits by back door and has his collar on and when he comes back in its taken off. I literally now have the most perfect best friend EVER! Thank you.. it was only a matter of time after a year and a half of him doing his charge to the back fence that complaints would have started coming in..

Amazon listing has changed...
Below is my original review of the first collar I purchased. It uses tiny batteries and is not rechargeable. I then purchased a second rechargeable version thinking it would be useable for longer (and did not even realise it was the same Amazon listing!). The rechargeable (bone colour as listed) is rubbish. Does not register barking. Only beeps or vibrated when my dog shakes his head. Absolutely awful. The non-rechargable version worked perfectly. The rechargeable one does not work.Original review:__________________The collar prgressively beeps and buzzes for repeat barks from the dog. That all works really well.It doesnt seem to cause any discomfort when worn. Doesnt need to be very tight to be effective. The worst feature is the unit beeps when turning on. So turning the collar on when already on the dog is confusing for the dog. The unit also beeps when turning off...The power button is also the same button and the reduce sensitivity button. So i often reduce the sensitivity when trying to turn the collar off.So setup and buttons are annoying but the training works well. But, the collar uses tiny uncommon batteries. I don't have rechargable alternative batteries. The first batter lasted about a month of very light use. A few afternoons. A few nights when the dog was particularly loud. The collar comes with two batteries but thats it. Not rechargable.

Hard to turn on and poor battery life...
I’ve had one of these before which was great. This one not so much. It’s really hard to turn on and off for a start. You can’t just press the on/off button, you have to hold it for an extended period whilst hoping you are pressing the exact spot on the button that needs pressed (I have to use a fingernail to find the right bit!). The battery does not last long at all. I’ve been using this for two months and the batteries are already used up. This is with minimal use - only for a couple of hours, a couple of times a week. Today, the collar also just started turning off itself (no warning light like usual when the battery is running low). This meant that after one bark it just stopped working, which defeats the point of the collar. At least I was in to turn it back on, but not great if I go out - the main reason I bought it.I’m hugely disappointed. I’m not sure if this is a dud collar or they are lol like this, but I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience. It’s not quite one star, as when it works it does stop my dog barking considerably. It’s as comfortable as this thing can be for a dog to wear - my dog lounges about whilst wearing it quite the thing. The noise it gives off is loud. It’s just a shame it’s so hard to turn on and off, with poor battery life and now the random turning off.

Hands down the best £15 I've ever spent on my pooch!
I don't often write reviews, but this one was definitely worth it! I was initially sceptical but this is the greatest investment. My 18 month old cocker has recently become overly protective (since I fell pregnant) and barks aggressively at poeple without dogs! I could deal with the barking but it was becoming embarrassing and he also nipped two people, that's when I realised I had to do something. Since having this I now feel comfortable inviting people into my house and letting him off the lead whilst we are out and about. It's non invasive, he often barks once, it beeps and that's enough to correct his behaviour. He is a completely different dog since having this gadget!!!
