The cream is really a cream; this is not a body butter, this is not a body lotion. The consistency of the cream is like a very well mixed yogurt. Opposite to a body butter, this cream is cool temperature. The consistency of the cream makes it very easy to apply all over the body. The scent is something special and I cannot describe it well; the scent is more toward a spice of herbs. This cream does not have a scent like a perfume, is not like flowers; it is not like a masculine musk. The scent is felt at the moment of applying it, but it is also a soft scent that dissipates. The cream is absorbed by the skin in short time. This is not an oily base; the skin will be moist all day long without any residue of oil. The cream is much better than a name brand; my experience with a name brand is that it is all about the scent, but they run a little oily. This one is the opposite; light scent and all the moisture I want to have without the oil. I like the cream.
