Okay, I've lived most of my life being teased for the (large) size of my head. I like the look of this helmet, but thought that it was going to be much lower profile than it truly is. The following exchange with a co-worker summarizes this perfectly. Co-Worker (while helmet was sitting on my desk at work): Is that your helmet for your scooter? Me: Yeah. Co-Worker: That's really cool. I like it. Me (as I'm putting the helmet on): Thanks. Co-Worker (after seeing me with the helmet on): I retract what I just said about the helmet. Me/Co-Worker: Laughed hysterically. In short, this helmet is big and does not hug the head closely...but maybe it's just my huge head!

Faux wood covering looks really good. From 5 feet away it looks like you really do have a helmet made of wood. This also comes with foam inserts that can be removed based on head size. The helmet is thicker than some others I've seen, which I think it why this one gets a bit hot, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Weight is great and doesn't cause neck soreness.
