The crimper worked well for me and I was able to repair a couple of network cables with bad ends fairly easily. The wire cutter and stripper are nice additions. The crimper seems to be well built and feels solid in your hand. The cable tester is particularly handy to make sure your connections are accurate and working. It's a nice kit.

I bought this kit because I wanted to go to pass-through connectors. I've crafted my own cables for years. I found that with the pass-through connectors, I can review the wires in the connector before crimping. if the cable doesn't test out, I can then view the end of the connector to review the wire colors after I have crimped it. Also with the pass-through connectors, I can get the end of the jacket snug up against the termination block without having to test the length and re-cut multiple times. Saves time and get better termination.The crimper worked well as did the wire cutter. I wish the blade on the wire cutter was a fraction longer (I haven't found any other on the market fills the bill here). It always takes two passes to knip the wires after you have them spread out before sliding onto the connector. Actuating the crimper doesn't take much effort unlike my old plier style crimper. A really good feature for these aging hands.There are 2 cable jacket strippers in the kit that is pure crap. They are horribly thin and fell a part when pulling the jacket off the end of the cable. There is a punch down blade on the end. It too is really thin. I wouldn't even begin to use it for a punch down. Also noted that there is a jacket cutter on the crimper tool. It was too aggressive and though the blade is replaceable without tearing the tool a part, there was no room to adjust the blade.The tester technically works but is really limited in its features. There is only a green light that is either on or off when testing. It sequences through the wires. If there is a connection, it lights. If no connection, it doesn't light. You have to pay close attention whether it lights or not as it rolls through the wires. None of the photos of this tester reveal that the little block on the right detaches so you can test long runs that are already installed. A feature I needed.The kit was worth the price to get the crimper and a supply of connectors together. Would I buy another of these testers. Not. I would, however, buy this crimper again. The other tools, I would have preferred to have bought separately and buy better quality.

And the wire cutters didn’t cut them at all. I have to use my own cuttersThe Rj45 ends are fine and the sleeves.
