My favorite cookies
I recently tried David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways (907g), and I must say, they are a delightful treat! Here’s a detailed review based on my experience: Packaging and First Impressions The David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways come in a large, sturdy box with clear, simple packaging that highlights the delicious treat inside. The box is well-sealed, ensuring freshness when it arrives. Upon opening, the cookies are neatly arranged inside, and there’s a protective layer between them to prevent them from breaking or sticking together. The scent immediately hits you as you open the box — a delicious buttery and nutty aroma that promises a rich, indulgent flavor. The size of the box (907g) is quite generous, making it perfect for sharing or stocking up for a party or special occasion. Texture and Flavor The Butter Pecan Meltaways are incredibly melt-in-your-mouth soft. The texture is light and airy, almost like a shortbread, but with the added richness of butter. As you bite into them, the buttery flavor is the first thing you notice, and then you get the delicious crunch of the pecans in every bite. The pecans are finely chopped, so they blend perfectly with the cookie, adding texture without overpowering the flavor. The cookies are not too sweet, which is great if you prefer a more balanced taste. The pecans add a slightly nutty and roasted flavor that pairs wonderfully with the rich, creamy butter. The combination creates a delicate sweetness that is incredibly satisfying without being overwhelming. Size and Shape The cookies are small to medium-sized, perfect for snacking or serving at gatherings. They are round and slightly thick, with a delicate, crumbly texture. Each cookie has a slightly glossy finish, hinting at the butter used in the recipe. While they’re not overly large, their richness means that one or two cookies are more than enough to satisfy a sweet craving. Freshness and Quality One of the standout features of these cookies is the freshness. Despite being pre-packaged, they taste like they’ve just been baked. The buttery richness and freshness of the pecans stand out, and there’s no hint of artificial flavor or aftertaste. The cookies stay soft and fresh for quite a while (I’ve been able to enjoy them over a week with no noticeable decline in quality), which speaks to the care taken in their packaging and storage. Value for Money At 907g, you get a substantial amount of cookies for the price. Given the premium quality and flavor, these cookies offer excellent value for money, especially if you’re looking for a treat to share with family or guests. The generous serving size means you’ll have plenty to enjoy over time, making it a great option for gifting or as a staple in your snack pantry. Occasions These cookies are perfect for a variety of occasions. Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering, looking for a sweet addition to a dessert table, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea, they fit any situation. Their classic flavor and elegant presentation also make them a wonderful gift for birthdays, holidays, or special events. Conclusion Overall, David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways are an absolute treat. The melt-in-your-mouth texture, buttery richness, and crunchy pecan goodness make them stand out as one of the best packaged cookies I’ve had in a long time. The flavor is well-balanced, not too sweet, and perfect for those who enjoy a delicate, nutty treat. If you’re a fan of buttery cookies and pecans, I highly recommend trying these. They’re an excellent choice for those who love high-quality cookies with a sophisticated flavor profile. Whether you’re treating yourself or sharing with friends and family, these meltaways are sure to impress.

Delicious and inexpensive, with great quality! Unbeatable!
If you like shortbread cookies with chopped pecans and covered in powdered sugar, then these are for you! I love them, and at the price for 2 full pounds, they are a steal! The cookies come in a large, red tin, suitable for gifting without any more wrapping! The cookies stay fresh for a very long time, even when opened! YUM!

David's Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways 907g
These butter pecan cookies are seriously so good! They just melt in your mouth, it's crazy. I could honestly eat the whole bag in one sitting. Definitely a must-try if you love that buttery, nutty flavor. You won't regret grabbing a big container of these!

When purchased fresh they are extraordinarily, but if a bit stale, they crumble easily.
These cookies truly melt on your mouth. Best cookies ever. Perfect for any occasion. I was disappointed that half the batch had crumbled to small bits, which probably occurred during shipping. But I did notice they were dryer than the first time I ordered, which easy disappointing. However that didn’t stop me from getting a spoon and eating the crumbs. This is the second time I have ordered these delicious cookies. The first time I ordered they were not crumbled, which leads me to believe the destruction occured during shipping.

Broken cookies3/4 of the tin
The cookies were delicious!!! However, the top layer was fine, from then on broken in tiny tiny pieces. I would buy them again if i thought they would not be mostly broken

Yummy fresh and reorder friendly for sure
I love these cookies. First, they are delicious. But they are great for enjoying at home and for giving as a gift, if you can part with then. They have all the yumminess of homemade cookies and none of the work. They are a fantastic value for the money and will remain fresh in their beautiful red tin down to the last morsel. Something that you will likely reorder and reorder. I know I do.

Helppppppppppppppppppppp
Wedding cookies are my all time favorite cookie. I miss the pink box in a huge way and maybe if they didn't put them on the TOP SHELF in every daggum grocery store, we would still have them today! That being said, the green tin at Aldi during Nov-Dec is the second best, but nearly impossible to find after those months and are 10 bucks a tin. But, I buy them out bc they are worth it. I was hoping David's would be a solid replacement. I got them in store (Costco I believe) and enjoyed them. They weren't exact as they are missing that coconut taste and chocolate chips. But, definitely sufficient. However, I got this big pack and was pretty disappointed after shipment. Most of the powder was off the cookies and sitting in the divides. But the hardest part to get past was they tasted over cooked. The ones bought at Costco definitely did not taste that way. But these? It was like they were cooked just a few minutes too long and I could taste it. They were a little more brittle too and not in a good way. I am going to give them another shot but going to purchase the choc chip and pecan this time. I'm a little annoyed I'll be spending more for a lot less, but I am trying to run down the flavor profile desperately. From here, it is making them from scratch and it is highly likely that I'll keep chasing this dragon. David's folks, if you do read this, please work on your shipping packaging. The powder was 75% settled in the tin and not on the cookies and please fix whatever caused my batch to be overcooked. I'm basically begging on this stupid internet for yall to get this right. I'll 5 star the other one I am buying if you guys will heed the advice and I am sure I am not the first telling you this. Thanks from the grown man in Alabama chasing after the nostalgia of his 80s-90s childhood into young adulthood. I'm preying with back, knees, and my eyes see low level lights like lightsabers in the night. And all I am asking for? Wedding cookies... ....some daggum wedding cookies. 😞
