fantastic stuff
i replaced the bed on my 97 dodge ram and coated the bed and exterior sides with this stuff. scuff if up with 100 grit sandpaper on a random orbit sander. (hand sanding is not enough) wipe it clean with a rag soaked in brake parts cleaner, and get painting. works great with a mini roller.(rolling will give you a fantastic finish). i cut a normal roller in half. make sure to use a high quality roller , so the fuzzy doesnt come off in the rolled paint.do not go back over areas too much, as the paint will go crazy. give it 2 coats an hour apart. or as soon as its dry to the touch. even in 50 degrees , it dries fast. dries like concrete/ sandpaper. love it.

Works well in car trunk
Use to cover rust treated car trunk areas. EASE OF APPLICATION: I used a paint brush. Be sure to use gloves FUMES: Although it's water based, it does have a slight ammonia smell. I used a mask to help. Also took frequent breaks because I was in the trunk applying it DRIES QUICKLY: As with most paint, dry speed depends on ambient temperature and humidity COLOR VARIETY: Not a concern since used in the trunk. Black is fine EASE OF CLEANUP: Water based so it was easy to clean with soap and water. COVERAGE / QUANTITY: I used one coat. I have around half the quart left. I'll probably use the rest as a second coat where water may hit the most, e.g. at bottom areas. FINISHED PRODUCT: It has a hard, not rubberized, finish with a textured feel. IDK what the textured bits are made of. It's nice to see. I used one coat. I presume multiple coats will still be a hard finish, not rubberized. WORKS WELL: As of 9/26/25, It's been around one month since application. So far, so good. I'll get more to use for my brake lines

Salvaged tools and cameras where no replacement parts available
This is great stuff for another purpose. I have power tools and cameras whose rubber coating became torn or sticky. I removed the damaged rubber from tools and coated the bare plastic with several coats. Good as new and even more aggressive grip than original rubber. For sticky rubber I just coated on top and it works great.

It's OK
Its good. Make sure to prep the surface with fine grit sand paper. For the price I thought it would be a harder finish. It's gritty enough, but it chips easy and peels easy. easy enough to scuff and re-apply, or I would def drop it to 3-star.

Wear a mask, strong paint odor.
This paint is awesome. Goes on thick, cures in 24hrs, and good to go. Bed looks brand new. Also used it on some treated wood for outdoor application.

Nice texture and adhesion
The box had been opened and taped shut on one end. All can were dented up but the hike clips were still on and the lids were secure. First can was fine, havn't opened the others yet. Used a drill mixer to make sure this was blended well. Paint is very thick compared to regular paint and goes on easily (be sure to prep the surface properly) Covered perfectly with 2 coats but did one more with a textured roller just to be sure. I used a brush for most of my project due to having a lot of corners and small spaces. Paint self levels a bit. DO NOT GO BACK OVER WET PAINT... IT WILL BUNCH UP. LET IT DRY AT LEAST AN HOUR. Sand any bumps, drips, and "high traffic"areas between coats. 70 degrees and 50% humidity, first coat dried solid in about 3 hours.... touchable in about an hour. 2nd coat wasn't totally dry for 4 hours but was also touchable in a little over an hour. Texture and color is consistent.

Only For Looks Not Function
The product itself looks pretty good, but it doesn't seem to be an actual bed liner, more like a fancy rubber coating. It has been over 24 hours since application and anything rougher than human skin will damage the finish. I set an item about 10 pounds with rubber feet on the finish, and it couldn't handle it. I will give it 1 week to know for sure if this is a dud but so far I cannot image this finish holding up to anything a truck bed is used for. I applied about 3 coats of this to get it on the thicker side, and I sanded then cleaned everything prior to applying the coating. Adhesion seems to be strong, it is just durability that is seriously lacking.

Easy to apply and makes you look like a pro
I used this truck bed coating on book shelves that I intend to use outdoor to store electrical components inside. I was expecting this to stick to the slippery plastic on the exterior walls of the wooden bookshelf and it worked out perfectly. The coating protects the wood from the elements and helps to somewhat waterproof the wood, which is exactly what I wanted. I can see this coating working perfectly on metals such as a truck bed. I applied it using the roller method and results look very good. Easy to use and apply. Any mistakes are forgiving because before it truly hardens its like a peelable rubber material. A great overall product.
