I want to update my previous review. The magenta toner that leaked was from a different manufacturer, not this one. After contacting the manufacturer and retesting these toners, I’m happy to report that all of them print perfectly and there is no leaking. The text is crisp, sharp, and the colors are vibrant and vivid. I’m very impressed with the quality and wanted to correct my earlier mistake — highly recommended!

I’ve been using these toner cartridges for a while now, and I’m absolutely impressed with their performance. Do not purchase the color toners unless the seller confirms that the design has been changed. These cartridges definitely have a problem. At the start of every print, the printer makes very loud click noises, which can be frankly disconcerting. I always used third-party cartridges before this, and they did not have a problem. As others have said, the sound comes from the right said of the printer. I put back my old 3rd-party cartridges one-by-one, and sure enough the sound went away. It is definitely a design issue with these cartridges. For awareness, I have the MF-644cdw. I bought black cartridges from the same seller just the previous week (2-pack), and I did not have an issue with the black cartridge I installed. No clicking sound came from that unit. I figured I'll go ahead and change all of my cartridges, and bought the color set. However, all three of the color cartridges exhibit the loud sound, while the black one from the previous purchase does not. I have not tried the black that came with this set, since I have a new one from the 2-pack installed. The cartridge from this set and the one from the 2-pack seems to vary only in the kind of sticker that's on the unit. The good one has a white sticker on top, while the bad ones have a transparent sticker. Not sure if there are some bad batches in there, or different manufacturing locations. I should add that the print quality is good. Not that I've ever had print quality issues with new 3-party cartridges. By my experience, after-market cartridges start showing streaks before they are technically over. So, expect 50% to 75% of advertised capacity. It might be better if you print a lot. These things go bad with disuse as well. However, these are typically 1/8th to 1/10th the price of genuine toners, so it's still worth using after-market ones for casual home use. But the loud click noise makes me worry about the longevity of the printer, and therefore I'm giving it 1-star. I will probably go back and purchase a set from the same seller from which I bought the last color set. I'm not sure whether I ought to return these, cause I've opened the 3 color cartridges and I don't think I should transport opened toner. I'll try contacting the seller for recourse, but regardless of the outcome it's still a hassle.

Even during regular use, the printer makes a distinct popping sound when waking from sleep mode to print. This could be bothersome in quieter environments. Despite these issues, the print quality is exceptional, and the performance has been reliable. If you can overlook the minor inconveniences, these cartridges are a fantastic choice for anyone seeking high-quality prints without breaking the bank.

J'ai tout gagné.
