Great Lamp!
Love this lamp! It is very sturdy. It is a 3-way lamp with a reading light that uses led or low wattage light bulbs. The lamp is tall but I have in a location that works perfectly. The base is heavy and sturdy to prevent falling. As a side note, I had to order two because when it was received the globe was broken.

Wonderful lamp
I love this floor lamp! It looks and feels expensive and elegant, especially with the two glass shades. It’s so much nicer than my previous one that had plastic shades. I have a 30/50/100 wt bulb in the torch part and a 60 wt in the reading part. It’s easy to adjust the brightness according to your needs. Initially, I was concerned about putting the lamp together because of all the negative comments regarding screwing the parts together. I followed the advice of a reviewer and lubricated the pieces before screwing them together and did not have any problems at all. Also, the stickers on the glass came off very easily. The manufacturer must be listening to previous complaints and corrected it. I’m so happy I purchased this floor lamp. It’s solid and looks beautiful in my bedroom.

Good lamp. Could be a little more stable.
I spent a long time deciding on a lamp before finally choosing this one. I have one corner of my room where I wanted task lighting over my coffee bar, but I didn't want to clutter up the space with a separate room light. The Good:-It looks great. I went for the "Antique Brass" option. It has a brushed finish and doesn't look painted on like some of the cheaper lamps.-The glass shades are thick and heavy and had no sharp edges, chips or cracks.-It went together in about ten minutes. I put it together by myself and had to lay it down since I didn't have someone to hold the pieces in place, but no problems there. I had no issues with the threads like some folks reported. They're very fine and easy to cross or overtighten and strip if you're not paying attention, so be careful. The Bad:-Typical Chinese QC (or lack thereof) on the base. The base of the lamp is just a slug of concrete in a plastic liner, glued or press-fit into a decorative metal flange. The problem is, mine wasn't anywhere close to being flat on the bottom. Put a 6' lever arm and a 2-lb. shade up on top of it and set it on carpet and you have a problem. I was able to shim the lamp with thin strips of wood and cardboard. It's in a corner, so I don't have to worry about bumping it, but if it had to be anywhere near a walkway the base would be a deal-breaker, even on a hard floor.-More Chinese QC on everything that isn't threaded. Nothing about the lamp is actually square. The base, the top shade and the pieces of the finial all sit at slightly different angles relative to horizontal. It looks fine up close, but step back and it's easy to see that everything is a bit crooked. It's all press-fit, so there's no real way to fix it.Other Thoughts:-I didn't want a 3-way switch, but that's the only way I could get this lamp. I replaced the top socket with a simple on-off socket from the hardware store and reused the original shade retention nut, sleeve and knob. No big deal.-I'm using a 60W equivalent LED bulb in the top and a 40W equivalent LED bulb in the gooseneck, both 2700K. The shades have a pleasing color when the lights are on.I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The finish is good, the shades are very nice and it does what it's supposed to do. The "Attention to Detail" category rates a solid "China" out of 5, though. Don't buy it if you're OCD about things being aligned or parallel, or if you plan to set it up on carpet.

Great Lamp. Only one Glitch With Assembly
I purchased this lamp and received it today. I am a woman in my 70’s and I was able to assemble this myself. I do know that you have to be careful when screwing the sections together so as not to damage the threads. It went together quickly and fairly easily . The only minor problem I had was with the top shade. I actually saw another review that said it didn’t fit properly and they were returning it, which I thought was the case with mine. What I did not initially realize was that the socket nut for the top shade is in two parts. After thinking it couldn’t be tightened once the shade is on, I finally realized that one part screwed off. Once I did that, there was no problem putting the shade on. This is a nice sturdy lamp and a good buy. The base is heavy and the shades are glass, not plastic. I have to assume the people who say it’s not sturdy, didn’t put it together properly.

Much nicer than expected
I'm gonna be honest, I was actually not expecting that much from these, based on the price. I bought two for my living room because I needed both more light and something with a little more visual interest than the very plain lamp I already had, but I fully expected these would be cheap aluminum and plastic. They're not. The shades are thick glass with a beautiful swirled pattern that wasn't very visible in the display images online, and the pole is thicker than most floor lamps of this type, made of a sturdy metal, and ridged all the way around, which makes it look much more expensive than it is. These are solid, heavy lamps, and they feel like they will last a long time.Assembly was very easy and took very little time for one person to set up. Everything screwed together neatly and tightly, and the cord easily pulled through the pole and the base down to the bottom, something which I notice is occasionally a sticking point (so to speak) for lamps of this type. I used some 100W equivalent LED bulbs in these, so normally the reading lamps would not be as bright as they are in the photos, because they are only rated to 60W for normal incandescents. As it is, though, having all four lights on full blast basically floods the room with light. The shades do come with very obvious warning labels stuck to the inside, but I just peeled those off and stuck them to the base of the lamp for future reference. The only other flaw I could find in these is a minor one - the "bronze" finish is just brown with dull gold details painted around the edges, and in a few places the paint is wobbly or smudged. (It looks like it was hand-painted.) You have to really be looking close to see that, though, and for $45 for a lamp this nice that's such small potatoes that I can't bring myself to care. I love these lamps.

Very well made; nice heavy base
Well made. Nice, heavy base. We were worried the colored shades would be too dark, but they are beautiful and put out lots of light when on. Assembles easily.
