This is an excellent small, mains or battery FM/AM radio. The speaker is excellent for sound quality, the control buttons are easy to use and the tuning is clear. It proved itself on first use because we had a power cut and quick insertion of batteries ensured that we could continue listening. It is neat and well made and one of my best buys. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Good signal with batteries though have to adjust aerial if plugged to mains. Cant get all the 'newer' channels but recommend fine if just wont to listen to main ones. Works for many hours/weeks on good batteries.

Brilliant simple radio. Well made with a very good sound. When my radio that I use in the garden fails I will definitely replace it with this model.

My dad is blind and this radio is super easy for him to turn on and find stations on. He’s delighted.

Not good value

I'm writing this revieww based upon a replacement set, kindly supplied by Retekess. This is because for some strtange reason the first radio failed completely after just over 12 months. Retekess were entirely sympathetic & after I'd explained what had happened and the various noises the radio made before failing altogether, they very speedily & professionally organised for a replacement to be posted to me via Amazon. This second radio is performing perfectly, but to be fair, so did the first one since purchasing it in June 24. The radio looks sturdy, yet modern/retro. The sound quality being exceptional, the dials clear & easy to access when selecting my station, reception is first class, altogether super for an elderly lady such as myself. I can say that my listening pleasure is Radio 4, and the podcasts, dramas & regular programmes are now crystal clear whatever the volume ( high ! ) I thoroughly recommend this style of radio, and the European manufacturer Retekess, who have built up a good reputation over the years, which I hearily endorse.

Great radio with large numbers and easy dials

Absolutely brilliant, medium sized radio. Clear, loud sound. Knobs for on/off, tuning, bass or treble. Easy to use. No frill, or presets. Ideal for elderly.
