Tiger Tape1/4-9" Lined Stitching Tape, 30 Yards, White

I bought this on a whim to use as a crutch in my hand quilting. I can make small stitches, but my stitches do not tend to be even. I wish I had bought more lines per inch, but otherwise, I am happy with this.I tear off a piece that is a couple of inches long and move it several times. It makes sure that my quarter inch allowance is even. This avoids me having to mark it out myself. I use two pieces in corners, one on each side, to make sure that my stitches start and stop at the right place. I find nine lines per inch to be a bit long, but many others may find it perfect. I just learned quilting from a woman who did closer to 24. I never mastered that small of a stitch, but it makes 9 tough for me.Anyway, i find that I can move the pieces of tape several times. Two inches seems ideal. I get fewer sticks from longer pieces.

I used this on a quilt which I was hand quilting as well as embroidering. It helped keep the stitches in line and uniform. I was able to reuse the tape as I moved from one section to another about 4 times. I would have liked to have seen a variation of color in the markings to make it easier to judge without constantly counting. I did try to highlight the tape however the surface is a bit shinny and a pen, markers or pencil does not show up well and smear. Good solution, easy to use, will buy again.

This didn’t really do what I had hoped it would. It just didn’t stick well. If you are hand quilting it hides the needle so you have to be really skillful at bringing the needle up from the bottom which most beginners aren’t. I decided to use a chalk pencil instead. I am hoping it might help miter corners or do set in seams.

I really enjoy the Tiger Tape for hand quilting. Since Joanns Fabrics has stopped carrying it in this area, I was glad to find it on line. Thank you.

This product makes it so easy to keep hand stitching uniform. Love using it!

good quality, however the lines are a little closer together than I normally stich so I wish I had ordered a different size. I ordered the 9 lines per inch and feel that is just a little to small of stitches, but not the products fault.

Great time saver and easy to use.

I rate this tiger tape the same as the other, because it don't want to stick to my project as much as I want it to.
