I use these for our small dog leads in our yard. works better then the heavy metal cable normally sold for dogs. I use 2 dog lead clips and use a bowline knot at each end. last along time but they do wear out. usually replace them once a year. There is always fun colors to choose from.

We buy these to make paracords for Operation Paracord. They work well and we love the color selections.

It will do the job of 550 cord but it is not milspec quality. It is very stiff and difficult to work with. When cutting and burning the ends, the outer wrap contracts and the internal strands protrude out about an inch. I've never encountered those problems with the 550 cord that I was issued in the military. However, the choice of colors is nice.
