Fun game for all
Great game that requires thinking through a strategy but has a concept easy enough for kids and adults to play together. Instructions made it easy to understand and start playing right away. It was a great gift to give to family.

Fun and interesting game
Fun game with an interesting twist. After your move you select the next piece that your opponent will place on the board. The game comes with two colors of wooden game pieces. There are multiple sizes and shapes and some have hollow centers. The object is to get four in a row of a set with similar attributes. ie: all same shape, same color, all have holes, all are solid, all same height. You have to be aware of where you might want to place and item as well as thinking about which piece you will select for your opponent. If you like games like Gobblet, Othello, or even tic tac toe, you will enjoy this game. The board is heavy and made of wood. The surface is painted with a rough, sand paper like paint and the design is routed into the wood. It looks very nice. It is about 10 inches square and 3/8 thick. (did not measure, just approximate) Very, very sturdy and professional looking. There are soft feet/pads on the bottom to prevent sliding on or scratching the surface it sets on. The pieces store in a draw string back. The bag is nothing fancy, but useful to keep pieces organized if you like to store your games out of the box on a shelf. The pieces are made of a fairly hard wood. I can not leave a mark on them with my fingernail. There are two colors. One set is dark cherry or mahogany colored and the other a blonde color of wood. There are not pads on the feet but that might cause them to be less stable on the board. They are about 2 1/2 tall. (did not measure) The pieces are heavy enough and large enough and stable enough that young hands or slightly unsteady hands should still be able to place them on the board easily. Could work for an independent living or nursing home setting. This is an item that I would purchase again and would also give as a gift. It is not a super high end, luxury, deluxe game, but it looks nice setting on our pub table and not only does it look nice and interesting, it is fun for everyone to play. The game play is not intimidating or frustrating so people are willing to give it a try and end up enjoying it.

Great game and great make
Beautiful version of this game. Both the pieces and board are beautiful. Good size for larger hands and overall a great game for the family.

Worth the price, fun quick games
Sturdy box, sturdy pieces, easy rules that even my toddler (3 almost 4yo) was able to pick up (and promptly reject & substitute his own rules). The older kids (9&11) love the quick games & trying to out strategize their dad. Pieces survived abduction by puppy & not fall apart quickly. Great purchase, it might be a little pricey but it’s worth it! Quick delivery & no missing pieces. Fun for everyone.

Really Have to Pay Attention
Excellent game for exercising the brain cells. Kind of like Tic, Tac, Toe, but with multiple ways to line up your pieces in a row, including using your opponent’s pieces. Highly recommend this game. Fun for the whole family.

Quarto (Kortoe)
The games great this was my second copy of the game. I play it a bunch. This game is only for two people or maybe a group of four. I don't believe you'll learn all that much from the game. Except maybe a little bit about strategy. You need to be able to think out a few moves ahead if possible. And paying attention to the pieces that have not been played, is also critical. It's fun when you realize that your opponent is fixated on only one or two of the four features, because that's when you can really trick them into giving you the right pieces. It's a simple game that works every-time. It's durable because all the pieces are made of wood and don't have very detailed features. It even looks nice on a coffee table.

La calidad de materiales es muy buena, se puede percibir en las manos. El juego es bastante ingenioso y entretenido. La mayoría de las personas lo encontrarán divertido, sobre todo aquellos que disfrutan los juegos abstractos

I was introduced to this game as a student, I still play it almost 30 years later. It's a simple concept, but as the playing skills develop, the games can become longer and more complicated as each player thinks further ahead and thinks about "what if" senarios. 5-20 minutes per game is common. Anyone, children or adults, who can manage a game of "Connect4" or Draughts, will be able to pick up the game quickly. It's then up to them, how much strategy they want to develop. With a similar experienced player, we have had games lasting an hour or more, and developed our own new additional rules to throw in every now and then to make the game trickier - such as not allowing the corner positions of the board to be used as part of the line of 4, or allowing a square of 4 instead of only a line of 4. I find the beauty of the game is its simple concept, allowing the players to pit themselves against each other and not rely on luck.
