A MUST HAVE FOR GROCERIES IN THE CITY
Love these! I live in Chicago and use these every week for grocery shopping. I've used them since October 2015 on a once or twice-a-week basis. They clip on with a small "S" hook (attached to a bungie) anywhere and then 2 hooks wrap over a bike pannier rack's sides.I have read people having issues of hitting bumps and the pannier unhinging from the rack. I don't know what size holes people are riding over, but I have hit some small potholes and even coming off of a curb and they stay hinged. Mind you it's only as tight as the bungie cord, but you could even secure them tighter with zip ties or some other contraption if this is an issue for you.I've taken home $100-$150 of groceries (I'm not going to guess on weight) and have not had any issues of anything breaking or stretching. I've taken home 96 oz orange juices, packages of meats, pounds of flour, 48 oz milk, dozen eggs, etc.. It all holds up fine. After researching panniers, I thought I'd have to spend hundreds on one alone and then break the bank on purchasing a second one, but for $60, these are working for me just great. I think, even if I get only 5 years out of them, I've saved money.Pros:Folds up when not in useWide open space for ease of packaging itemsGreat price (compare it to others from a bike shop)Sturdy and can handle groceries for 2 for a week.LightweightEasy release to take into stores so they don't get stolen.Snaps closed when not in use so they don't hang out and catch on something.Cons:Materials to attach to rack- I'm sure the Bungie cords will eventually stretch out, but replacing them would be so simple. Also, the hooks that hang on the bike rack may bend in time with weight, but even then they could be bent back into shape or modified easily. Not enclosed- No cover for rainy days

Great folding panniers!
Some background - I purchased an electric Pedego Interceptor bicycle for my better half. Pedego's frame also serves as a bike rack, and does an awesome job of protecting the battery. The challenge is that tubing is so thick, that 99% of all panniers will not work because the pannier hooks won't fit over the frame tubing. So, I bought a Topeak Uni Super Tourist Fat Disc Frame Mounted Bicycle Rack to mount above the existing Pedego rack. There was some custom work involved, but it turned out great! This pannier fits perfectly on to the Topeak rear rack.I needed a folding pannier that a standard backpack would fit into, to make it easier just to plop a backpack into the bike (instead of having to load the panniers everytime, then take all the stuff out afterwards). I did a lot of research, and there are very few folding-grocery panniers that have the width of the Bushwacker (Dimensions: 14" Length x 9" width x 10.25" height). Of those that are also this jumbo size, I read that most do not hold their shape very well when loaded up.This Bushwacker is rock solid, having steel-reinforced tubing to hold it in place. It has a nice bungee-hook set-up to keep it secure, and is adjustable to increase tension.Tips:1) If you use a backpack in this pannier, use a good carabiner (we used the sturdy, easy-to-open-and close, Black Diamond Oval Caribiner) to help prevent the backpack from flying out when hitting bumps. Simply plop the backpack into the pannier, attach the carabiner to the top loop of the backpack, and then hook it on the cloth handle of the pannier. Another option would be to use a bungee cord through the backpack, and attach the bungee to the frame.2) To help prevent theft of this nice pannier when the bicycle is parked, I attached a small cable to the handle (OnGuard Akita Seat Leash Cable - 53 cm x 5 mm), and locked the seat leash to another cable (used to lock the bike seat to the frame). Though it's a very thin seat leash cable, which could probably be snipped easily, it does help prevent someone without tools just walking off with it. Next, I used some heavy duty zip ties to attach the plastic clips (bottom / backside of pannier) to the Topeak rack. So, I don't take the pannier on & off the bike - I just leave it in place.FYI - I only used one of these panniers (keeping the other as a backup). On the other side of the bike, I built a custom, locking, waterproof hardshell pannier out of a Pelican 1430 case. It's awesome, and it's great to store the heavy chain & u-lock, tools, extra tube, pump, lights, and extra batteries. I used the terrific latching mechanism from Arkel (10 inch length), and also used a seat leash and zip ties to secure it in place (I leave this pannier on the bike also). Happy riding!

Great but just needs a couple design changes
These are really great and I would recommend them. They hold full grocery bags and fold up flat when not in use. I took note of another review where the reviewer added grommets to the bags. Game changer. I added 3 to each side. Now I can secure the bags with a bungee. Otherwise you can easily lose items on the ride. One other change I will do, but have not, is to change the top hooks that hold the bags to the bike rack. I would prefer ones that clip on and have a bit of a bend to them so that they canβt bounce off the rack. Also, the ones they provide, could scratch the rack and supposed to a little bit softer plastic. But this is a minor concern as the bottom Strap holds it very secure. The change looks pretty easy to do since the ones supplied are bolted on.

works great, I love that they fold up easily.
These can hold SO MUCH! who needs a cargo bike when you have these and a front basket! I love that you can fold them up and secure them with a snap when not used. I wish I had some kind of stretchy mesh cover for them to keep stuff from flying out when going over bumps. (what I really wish I had was a full suspension bike that I could mount these on, but that's a whole other topic)
