My vision is still pretty good but I need help with low light situations as well as very small print and/or lack of contrast print. I have tried several types of magnifying glasses and have been terribly dissatisfied with them. It always seems the image is distorted and I have to continually move the glass around the subject in order to clearly focus, if at all.I ordered the dome magnifier thinking that I would only use it for paper or flat objects - sliding it over tiny print direction sheets and the like, but I have found I can also pick it up and use it as a kind of monocle... and it works great! The magnifying glasses have been disposed of and the dome is the go-to. I recently used the dome to clarify 100+ year old razor serial numbers that were hardly visible to the naked eye, the dome worked perfectly.Yes, I still use my phone to capture a photo and enlarge an image but only when I need to save the image. The dome is easy to use, quick to focus and has a good sized sweet spot with less fidgeting. The storage pouch keeps the dome scratch free when not in use, a nice touch. Very nice and useful product, highly recommended.

last one got lost and love how easy it is to use. comes with a handy little cloth bag to help with scratches.

I’ve used this type of magnifying glass at work reading drawings. My wife is having a harder time especially in lower light. These help pull in extra light and she really likes it. Great tool.

As expected

I review construction plans but don't like dealing with full size drawings so shrink everything to tabloid. Engineers pack so much information on the plans, you really need a magnifer to drill in and this works great for that.

It's a little smaller than I was thinking but works great.

I ordered this to replace one I gave away to a fellow teammate, because we read a lot of old, faded docs and plat maps printed from microfiche at work. Unfortunately, my mom spotted it and started using it. So I'll need to order another one...
