was wondering how deep the hole for the opener needs to be. I am installing in a piece of wood that is 1/2 thick. i dont want them to go all the way

The hole deep of the bottle opener about a 1/8th, but our screws around 1/4 inch long, We recommend that the thickness of the wood be longer than the length of the screw.

Bottle Openers are good quality, the screws are not

My only issue is the screws are so small I wouldn't be comfortable using this hardware to sell to others.they're around 1/4 inch long (and the bottle openers are about a 1/8th of an inch thick so you lose quite a bit of length from that) and they're very thin.I bought a separate order of #4 1/2 inch long screws that fit nicely and would recommend them.These are the ones below if you're interested (affiliate link)https://amzn.to/3PddjupYou would probably be fine with 3/8 inch long screws as well, but I wouldn't go shorter for something like bottle openers.
